OT:Chihuahua for the perfect/responsible home

We really hate to have to do this and we wont if we can't find the perfect home but I figure that reefers would most likely provide the most reliable options. We have been offered a job that will only allow us our 1 dog and 1 cat.Because of a recent back injury,I really need this job with the excellent insurance it provides.

Bella will be one year old on October 15th.She adores children and only barks if someone knocks or if there's another strange dog around. She is fixed,micro-chipped,on Advantage so she has no fleas and is completely house-trained to go every 6-8 hours- she is also fully vaccinated. She's 10 lbs.

I can provide more pictures via email:

Please only respond if you can provide her with a stable home and can afford to upkeep her yearly vaccinations. We would love to take her back if for ANY reason she isn't a perfect match for your family though I can't imagine this as she is just the most loving dog.

wow...she is so cute

P.S> I am trying to give away my last little chihuahua too....I gave 1 away a few days ago so sad to see it go. I am going to cry.

yes,it sucks big time but I'm not opposed to declining the job if the perfect home doesn't come along..here is Bella at 8 weeks..she was bottle fed for two weeks,I'll see if I can find a picture. Also, she will whine adorably for you to pick her up and put her on the bed,I have doggie stairs that I will provide for her to join you on the couch, this IS a requirement,if you and/or wifey are the type that don't want your pet on your couch or to sleep with you then this is not the pup for you.

Thanks Nicole..it is tough but not set in stone yet so I've really not dealt with the probability of it.It also helps to know that the ball is in my court.

I don't have to accept the job,I'd just be out of pocket (much) more for the upkeep of my back if I decline.I'm still debating on which I'd rather have: job security(My current position is good for 10+ years) VS. excellent health care coverage( and the stress of a new job plus the nasty deductables)

if i was local i would definetly give her a good home. i grew up with 2 chihuahuas and understand there personalities. they are extremly loyal to there owners.

they look so good together. shes so small. maybe you can hide her in the closet :)

I wish! But,being a resident manager I'm not privy to the normal eviction process, they say out and I'm OUT!

Yeah,I know that Chi's have a rep for being nippy and barkers but mine are not...they've been raised in a very tranquil home and Bella comes with a Coach Collar plus a levi jacket amongst other cute outfits.

have you considered letting your cat go instead? i know its hard to chose btn animals, but the two chi s look so good together. bec chis are naturally shy, having a partner im sure helps them alot.

no, the cat is 11 years old and not a factor. It is a one dog limit for the building we've been hired for :(

Actually,my older dog "Barbie" fancies herself as a diva and finds Bella to be a pest(there is a 5 year difference) though she will defend her at the drop of a hat,Barbie much prefers not having to share anything-including my attention.

Good luck finding her a home, if I didn't have my male I would take her. Please find her a very good home chi's are the bomb!!!

I know, our boy would love a gf, but my landlord would not be very happy about it. I wish I could help!!! She is lovely.

How do you think she will do with a 110 yellow lab male. My lab is pretty much oblivious to little dogs - prefers to be with humans.
Wouldn't want to freak Bella out though.

she's currently afraid of dogs larger than herself.Of course,I'd be willing to take her back if the introduction didn't work out. She's also not accustomed to being a permanent outside dog though she would love a yard as she doesn't currently have one.

ygpm

we have a doggy door and I think she would get used to benny, he is not that much larger than her

If only she was bigger....like the size of a Lab.:D
I'm looking to adopt a new dog for the family and as a running partner....I think I would look silly doing my morning runs with a chihuahua nipping at my heels.:D
Good luck finding her a home.
