Didnt even make it through our first 4 day week, I was laid off this morning. The tentative call back date is May 4th, but with the way things are going that date is very much subject to change.

I work for BASF, construction chemicals. We are the plant that bags concrete for large scale commercial jobs. Like for flooring for department stores, building concrete, bridge material, etc. If Obama does all of this rebuilding, business should pick back up but for right now there are ZERO orders.

We have some big projects planned for 09 but the problem seems to be the banks, no one can get bonding, construction loans and with the poor interest rates city's and states cant even sell bond for large improvements

Sorry to hear this man - let's hope some of these infrastructure projects come through. Sounds like a good idea but if they are going to do it they need to do it quickly.

Man I'm sorry to hear that. I don't know how many WTAM 1100 listeners there are here but the other night on the Bob Frantz show a guy called in saying how he hadn't been able to get a job for so many years and that he had a felony on his record from along time ago but that he never had to go to jail or anything... Anyways a guy called in and offered this guy an interview and a chance to make his life good again hopefully everyone who is down on their luck right now will try to stay positive and hope for the best. You just never know what might happen. Your next amazing opportunity could be just right around the corner. . Good luck!
