With all the infections going on i'd figure i'd share my story.
It started the night before thanksgiving. I got up from my recliner after the wife and kids and I got done watching a movie and started getting muscle spasms in my neck. Thanksgiving Day I had a headache all day. Friday I had the worst muscle spasms bringing tears to my eyes and making me almost pass out. The next day nothing. Sunday more muscle spasms and pain in my right shoulder. I started thinking that I must have screwed my shoulder up again as I have a torn ac joint in it. By the first of Dec. I started going to my chiropractor and getting adjusted as the pain was constant now and was getting really hard to sleep. By the second week of Dec. My chiropractor took me out of work to rest my shoulder and informed me that I was going to need an MRI if it wasn't any better. Well that night I think I felt the worst pain that I ever felt in my life. I woke up out of a sound sleep screaming and crying like a child begging for the pain to stop. My muscles in my neck were locked up tight and I couldn't move I laid on the floor in my bedroom screaming at the top of my lungs and had my poor wife scared out of her mind.I finally got them to loosen up enough to get back into bed and passed out. I went and had the MRI done and they found an infection in my neck muscles and on my c4-c6 vertibrates. I wasn't home 20 min when the chiropractor called me and told me to go to emergency. I was admitted and spent the next 4 days in the hospital. I now have to wear a neck brace and do IV Anti-biotics for the next 4-6 weeks and then probably anti-biotics for a couple of months after that by mouth. The infectious disease Dr. thinks it was caused by eating popcorn that still had parts of the kernel on it and they cut the back of my throat. Weird huh...
