OT - Lets all sit back and enjoy a good smoke

Another wonderful Sunday Smoke. 11lb Pork Butt smoked for 11 hours over Apple. Also made a new BBQ sauce...man I'm excited about this one!!!

My Carnitas recipe.
Pork shoulder
Orange juice
Onion powder
Garlic powder
Pepper
Salt
Cilantro
Cumin
Adobo
Cayenne
Fresh chopped onion
Fresh chopped jalapeño

Gonna rest it till later chop and pan fry to crisp and make carnitas tacos.

Today is a good day, my wife surprised me with Masterbuilt 30 inch electric smoker for Father's Day! Can't wait to get this thing out together and preseasoned!!

Any suggestions for a new meat smoker? What is a good cut of meat to get started?

I got almost exactly the same thing. Same name, bluetooth and same size. Mine has different feet on it, but other than that, I think it's the same thing. I put mine together while my son-in-law manned my BBQ today. Next weekend, my family will be eating something smoked! :thumbsup:

Super awesome gift.

I'd start out with a nice pork butt, long cook but a very hardy piece of meat. Get yourself a good wireless or Bluetooth thermometer so you can monitor temp! Sit back, grab a cold drink and enjoy the delicious aromas!

Pit beans are hard to over do, especially at low temps. I typically put in for final 2-3 hours under the meat to get some drippings.
 
It's called a bacon explosion, basically ground beef sausage cheese peppers and bacon, lots of different variations so whatever you like you can do
