OT: NBA Playoffs

How about KG tonight, knocking down his free-throws. The C's almost blew it. Damn! The Pistons will force a Game 7.

KOBE = MVP

LBJ = MVP in 2012 (as a NY Knick)

I also think the Kobester got the MVP this year because of the "longevity" thing. He's been one f the top players for the last 5-6 years. The "Can you believe Kobe hasn't won the MVP yet" argument. He's made all his teammates better: LO, Fish, Bynum, Pau etc. Remember, Fish was a borderline "scrub" w/ the Jazz and Warriors. He couldn't start for those teams. And now, LO is "comfortable" with his role. And Pau is at his correct role as a #2 option. All this because Kobe has matured and learn to trust his teammates and the attention he gets from the other teams.

You don't really think that, do you John? On paper, you might be able to say he's a scrub, but his contributions go well beyond that. Don't you remember his 'I just flew in from the doctor's' 3rd quarter entrance in last year's Playoffs? I don't think the Lakers would be this successful without that kind of leadership.

I don't think that at all......but his position on those teams were not of starters' status. I feel his career was resurrected w/ the lakers. He's always been solid, but I don't think he deserved the big $$ the Warriors were throwing at him.. And i think you'd agree w/ me that he would not even make the top 1/2 point guards in the league. Just my thoughts.

Depends on how you rank them. Would you rather have Fisher on the Lakers, or Starbury or AI stirring things up in the locker room?

Can we all at least agree that the Lakers are going to the Finals?! cough and that Kobe is the best player in the NBA, the Lakers are going to win the Championship, and the Lakers are the best team in the NBA now and forever cough ;) ;) ;)

Easy now...you're gonna jinx it. The Lakers blew a 3-1 lead and lost to the Suns two years ago.

Ouch reading that gave me a headache!!!!

GO SPURS!!!!................sorry..... Laker hater here

Must be a Kings fan ;) I love the Kings too...........................Love to Hate em:lol: :eek1:

OK Laker FANATICS!!!!

Who do you want....Pistons or Celtics?? It'll be tough no matter what. And all you Kobe haters....did tonight prove his MVP "worthiness"??????????
Just 4 more wins!!!!!

How bout them Lakers haters?? "Kobe can't win without Shaq"..."Lebron is better than Kobe"..."Kobe doesn't deserve the MVP"...

SHUT MOUTH!

First of all...claiming Captain Chokes..ahem..I mean Lebron is better is a flat out joke. He couldn't even get out of the second round in the EAST and you're saying he can lead a team to a championship better than Kobe? Are you nuts? Who was the one bricking all the final shots for the Cavs when they needed him most. That would be Lebron. Who was the one missing free throws in the final seconds...that would be Lebron. I don't see Kobe missing shots when the team is counting on him. He takes over games and wins. Rewind the TIVO Lebron fans...he's a choker. A nice guy...and I genuinely like him as a player in the NBA...but he's not better than Kobe. Kobe is the best all around player in the NBA right now. Period.

I'll meet you guys back here when it's all over. I've already said it before in this thread...and I'll say it again...

Lakers vs. Celtics in the Finals. Lakers in 5.

How many rings is that now for Kobe?? And Shaq is no where in sight!

I would only like to see the Celtics there to get some fresh faces in the Finals and because I love the way KG plays. It was a great game last night and Kobe did take over during Kobe Time (4th quarter). They played very well defensively which to me was huge. People are going to look at the number of shots Kobe took and say, why didn't he have a higher shooting percentage? Don't forget that the Spurs are one of the best defensive teams in the NBA year after year. Bowen is a lockdown defender and had been hounding Kobe all series. Whoever comes from the East is also going to be great defensively, but I think the Lakers have enough Offense to win! Anyone know where I can buy a Laker flag for my car?! ;) I knew I should have brought mine up when I went to LA last!!!
