OT: NBA Playoffs

It's one game and Boston is in front of the Home crowd. Had it not been for Pierce coming back and energizing the crowd with his back to back 3's and 15 pts in the 3rd the momentum had shifted and the Lakers were on a run.

Had KG taken over the game when he had the hot hand rather then passing up wide open shots they could have blown the Lakers out! Sack up and shoot the ball when your hot and wide open!

Karl, I disagree with you. He started rough but through the 2nd and 3rd qtr. he played well and tried to get the team involved. In the 4th qtr. the entire team just fell apart and shots were rimming out left and right. Late in the 4th he did play terrible trying to do to much due to all the missed shots by himself and the team IMO.

It's a 7 game series folks.........well this one will only go 6 ;) 4-2 Lakers
 
Will you admit the Celtics are a better team if the Lakers lose? Or will it the typical Laker's fan mentality of "My teams the best, there is no other, and Kobe is the reincarnation of Christ"?

I just feel that both Odom and Gasol going just 6 for 11 is totally unacceptable. The Lakers are more successful when the guards give their bigs more open looks.

Do you blame Kobe for trying to do too much? Do you blame Phil for not reeling in Kobe? Do you blame KG for being in everyone's face?

Probably a combination of all 3.
 
I really like KG. Would be nice to see him get a Ring! HE came in the league super young out of HS and has been a class act the whole time. You never hear anything bad about him on or off the court
 
The BEST Team is the one that Wins PERIOD!!!

I have watched the game twice now and I'm not some hokey dokey Raider fan that can only name 1 person on the roster and call's themselves a Fan! So Jim What kind of "typical" fan are you so we can all talk trash about it ;) Must be a King fan with so much Hatered toward Laker fans.

I don't blame any 1 person I blame the team! As a TEAM they were something like 7/20 from the field in the 4th qtr. Heck my wife has seen maybe 2 games her entire life and was even asking me "do they usually miss this many baskets"?

I cant tell you how many times I seen Flat footed Lakers around the basket not even jumping for a rebound. Gasol and Odom played OK but the bench SUCKED. And yes KG played a great game but like always in the end he couldn't make a shot, had the Lakers made there's everyone would be all over KG again for blowing it! But that is hindsight

And yes maybe Phil should have left Kobe on the bench a little longer when they got the game to within 4 points in the 4th.

Like I said in my post prior to the Game...........Celtics would win big in game 1 cause they will be playing with more energy in front of the home crowd.

Born and raised here in Sunny Sacramento, CA. I've been going to Kings games since the "old" Arco :)

But if you read my posts, I'm real. I have no problem admitting my team is in the dumps, and will probably be moved somewhere else soon. When a better team wins, I can face the reality and admit.

When I go down to LA and visit my buddy and stay with his friends from his fraternity, I get a dose of the most annoying individuals who cannot admit their team has flaws, can improve, wasn't the better team that night and on and on. All they can say is how great their team is and talk trash about everything else. Oh yeah, then they go on and on about how great Kobe is :lol: Sorry, but Kobe is a tool and would not have won ANYTHING w/out Shaq those years.

I just kinda saw a glimpse of that mentality in your post, and wanted to see where you stood :)

Like I said before, I don't dislike the Lakers. I think they're a great team to watch. I dislike the Laker fans that I have come to know. And trust me, I'm not the only one ;)

If my team can't pull it out (I still stand by my prediction)...I would love to see KG get a ring. He has been a great player for the NBA to showcase over the years. Great guy on and off the court.

I love how you keep stereotyping people...Granted my first post didn't do much for the Laker fan image. ;) We may be loud and obnoxious at times...but most of us are not completely unreasonable.

I will definitely admit if my team was not the better team..I was doing it all year last year with my Irish! Even against the academies! (Cringe)
 
wow im good look at my predictions i said game one celtics by 11..then won by 10 i said celtics by 5 game 2...then win by 6...who wants a nother prediction for game 3?
 
Lakers Sucked
Officating Blew
Bostons bench has proven so far they are better
Kobe failed to lead the team

I doubt they can get all 3 at Staples but I sure hope so!
 
I was going to write this huge thing questioning the heart of my team (the Lakers), but after the fourth quarter, I decided not to. The Celtics are playing with more intensity and they just seem hungrier. The bench isn't giving much help to the Lakers (minus tonight's fourth quarter) and the best thing to happen to the Celtics is Vladimir Radmonovich and the crappy job he is doing at both ends. I was also thinking in the third quarter, what happened to the Lakers three point shooters? Then they came out in the fourth. I think if the Lakers are going to have any chance to win this series, they need to make a huge statement in game 3. The need to play with a fire that I haven't seen them play with this post season. The Celtics Defense has totally shut down Kobe, especially since none of the other players are really stepping up. I think coming back at the end of the game will go a long way for the Lakers, and I can only hope that they actually show up to play Tuesday.
