OT: Prayers Needed!

Please say a prayer for my brother Bob. He has been fighting throat cancer for a year. He's had a bone removed from his leg to replace the decaying bone in his face. He's also had major skin graphing done. The first surgery failed, and he will now undergo a second surgery tomorrow. His face is completely deformed to the point that it scares people. He is my brother, and afraid to face the public. I can't imagine what this is like. The few words that he is able to say, he says this is no life to live. I can't imagine life without him. All prayers are greately appreciated!

Thank you everyone! When he gets better, and fully awake, I'm going to print out all the well wishes for him to read! He'll get a big kick out of them! He's a little shy, but his little sister knows how to make him smile! Love you Bob...no matter what!!!!

James 1:12 - Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

Jeremiah 29:11-12 - 'For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. 'Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.

I will pray for him. Stay strong!

Bob,
I can't begin to imagine how difficult things must feel right now. But I do know you are loved. And with love all things are possible. I hope that you can draw comfort and strength from those around you. Please know that no matter what your body looks like you can make a difference in this world. You can inspire others in many ways no matter what you look like. Many years ago I had a dear friend who lost most of her bottom jaw and tongue to cancer. She faced many struggles and tasks that were once simple became extremely challenging. We spent a couple of lonely holidays together at a time that was very difficult in both of our lives. We provide comfort to each other and I'm very greatful she was part of my life. Listening ears or a comforting hand on a should can make all the difference in the world. It doesn't matter what the body looks like or can or can not do, it's what the heart feels. You will be in my thoughts. I wish you health and healing.

A few years ago I lost my grandmother to this disease, it was a tough one to get through, but this disease is not an unbeatable one, when I was in grade school a friend of mine had cancer, many years later she is still alive and healthy! Keep your chin up and leave it in the hands of the Lord and all will be well, for it is his will what is done, and he always does what is best. Best of wishes to you, and get well soon!!

Thanks

Don't really do the whole prayer thing, but I wish you and your family the best of luck!

One of my grandparents just got diagnosed with Lymphoma and the other recently finished another round of chemo for ovarian cancer.
