OT - RC Airplanes

Did you crash the one you put the new fan in? I really want to see that one fly with the upgrade.

10* warmer is good. I don't have any coats. I lost my leather jacket on a plane a year ago, need to go get a new one. I threw the rest away when I moved to FL.

Hopefully I'll be out around 11:00-12:00.

Yea unfortunately the Mirage was one of the casualties  It was flying great and I got in the sun and clipped the tall cedars behind the parking lot. Only the left wing was damaged, but not repairable. It needs a new left wing then it will be flying again. The fan upgrade made a big difference.

You wont need a jacket, just stand in the sun :)

See you about that time also...

I went Saturday to the little funfly they had. I had the battery come unplugged on my big electric heli but I managed to get it down with only a broken skid. Later in the afternoon, I dumbthumbed my 600N and put it in pretty good. Not too bad though considering I haven't crashed in almost 6 months. Looks like it is going to be about $150 to repair.

I have been working on my Skywalker FPV plane a little. I planned on working on it a lot yesterday but I have been a little sick. I did get the plane pretty much glued together and all I need to do now is install the radio and camera stuff to get it flying. I might work on that some later. I stayed home sick today and haven't had much energy.

That sucks Mike. Maybe I should have hung out a little longer :D.... J/K At least your not having Rick's luck, that poor guy. I think I would have to quit after destroying 3 helis.

I rebuilt one of my old Mini Edge 540's (similar to the one in I posted earlier in this thread) Had to rebuild the front and motor mount. It turned out nice. I had it in the closet for a couple of yrs.

Here are some pics from saturday.

Now that is a lot of Helis. Amusing, one is done up like a clownfish  When do you think you will have the Edge ready to fly?

Looking at the photo above, are there no women pilots (maybe pilots is the wrong word - so excuse my inexperience on this topic)? :)

My dad used to take me out to Edwin Warner park when I was young to watch them fly planes (this was LONG before there were helicopters!). He always wanted one, but my mom would't let him. We settled for manouverable kites - which she would allow... I have a beautiful 5 foot hydrofoil that I can do some great tricks with in a decent wind.

It's ready to fly now, but I'm prob not going to be out at the field for a few weeks. I'm heading to FL on friday for a week or 2.

*slaps forehead*

We've got to help Zach find a woman...

Brandon

Edit: Maybe she's the one? Anyone know if she's married? She's got a ring on her middle finger in the picture above, but that one doesn't count. Although the ring finger may not count to Zach, either. :eek2: :D

No problem. I can fly just as good with my hands behind my back as I can normally, which isn't very good anyway. :spin1: I have actually tried it and it isn't too hard. Makes your arms hurt after a few minutes though.

Not very good? You kick #$!* and take names, man.
