OT: RIP Tangboy's Tacoma

A couple days ago, wow ok so almost 2 weeks ago I was heading into work on Kingston Pike and was making a left hand turn by the Target by 640 when I got hit by a little Honda.

Somehow I missed him when I made my scan and all I heard was a screech of his tires as he hit between my passenger side tires and flipped me onto the drivers side where I slid about 10 feet and hit a median.

My wife freaked out because I was on the phone with her at the time and she heard the whole thing while she was driving to work.

No one was hurt, no air bags were deployed, no glass was broken but two cars were totaled that day!

Anyway here are the pics of the scene that morning!

I'm very glad that everyone is OK.

That said, this is a learning lesson. Hang up and drive. What we see versus what is real is diminished with distracted driving, and the evidence supports this claim. Www.distraction.gov

As an aside: That's right by where I live.

Yuppers... when I told my dad, that was the first thing he said... "bluetooth" which I agree with! Anyway, live and learn and pay it forward! God is good!

So some updates...

1. Truck was totalled
2. Insurance gave me my check
3. Purchased Blue Tooth Headset
4. Purchased 2001 Tacoma Crew Cab
5. Put on Insurance
6. 1.5 hours after purchasing truck, woman hydroplaned and hit my truck :/
7. Grumpy

She got the citation from the officer since she was going sideways down the I-275 and slide into me in the slow lane! The damage isn't that bad, I can drive the truck just fine but it's kinda funny/ironic that it happened the day I bought it!
