ot spottes the new Zo7

i was really lucky to get this one. guy backed out of a pre order from 2 years ago. they are backordered about 4-6 months as of now and there are rumors that it is going to b as much as a year soon. i had every dealership on speed dial and told them to call if one fell thru. i got there within the hr and 8 other people wanted to buy it after i said i wanted it. one guy tried to offer 9k over what i paid for it. but the dealers already made a deal with me. and there was no way i was giving it up lol.

nice! good job

and you got a beauty to boot!

thank you :) couldnt be happier. although i do wish i could have kept my challenger as well lol. but it would have just sat in the garage as i most likely would only drive the vette when given the chance. idk how people have so many nice vehicles, theres not enough time to drive them like they deserve lol.

I look forward to seeing these on the freeway soon..... When I'm in the Supra :) I do have to admit for bang for the buck its very hard to beat the vette. Just too many on the roads for my taste. Great color by the way.

beautiful! I'm glad GM finally brought the vette up to date with the competition

are there any on the lots or still backordered?

Agreed! They were always few step behind in design IMO, but this one is pretty sweet! Love it!

Was always a imports kinda guy, but still have love for the vettes!
Drove by a black one last week in Scottsdale and my jaw dropped!

off topic, the off topic...Elliot, when can I come over and check out your setup. maybe after you pick up the vette :D Its been a long time!

Yea and unfortunately they don't let u test drive a new vette till the paperwork is being done up. They don't want kids "test driving" or joyriding in them so I couldn't even drive it till it was mine. (Sucks but I understand where they're coming from)

And I hear ya about the lack of wow factor in previous vettes I've never considered buying one until this one. They were/are a dime a dozen and nothing special to look at. Built simply for power. Now with the new design I'm in heaven :D I get comments all the time saying its a cross between a Ferrari and an Aston Martin (truly does as pics don't do her justice) and the interior is just as nice as the new European cars. Maybe I'll bring it to the frag meeting if I'm In town :)

I'm sure they are gone before anyone can test drive them! at least for now. Agree, they are much more beautiful in person!!!
I had my chance to drive my boss's Aston Martin, but chicken out because I wont be able to afford it if something happen. He might make me pay for the damages and fire my butt! haha. Yes, with the new design, IMO, its up with the European cars.

Elliot, I'll just wait for you to give me an excuse to invite myself there!

i dont blame ya i wouldnt wanna owe damages and lose my job in the same day lol thats a 2fer i couldnt handle lol.

***Disclaimer*** I'm an owner of an 02 Z06; I can't restrain from tossing a few comments in here. :spin1:

Sorry, but that bolded comment is pretty incorrect. Take a look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nürburgring_Nordschleife_lap_times
and see how many sub 8:00 times a Corvette has logged. Track times on a road course are not simply a result of "power" but rather of a balanced car: power, braking, handling.
For extra giggles, see how many times you see a Ferraris, Aston Martins or other exotics with a time slower than some of the Vettes. The Corvette is certainly not the pinnacle of vehicular bliss (regardless of the year) but to say they're built simply for power is a long ways from the truth.

As for the design of the car, there are certainly a lot of people that would agree that the new design is a welcome departure. It certainly is a beautiful car to look at but it's the first body style that hasn't looked like a Vette at a glance. I think it's kind of sad to see that kind of heritage die.

We do agree that there's only one Corvette design worth owning, we just disagree on which one it is.

C5 Z06 is where it's at for me.

Before seeing the new design, I must admit I loved the 97'-04' (?) model vette, especially the flip lights!
Had one for a while (not a z06) and it was pretty fun. Excuse the rice rocket.

Just ordered mine

Just ordered mine

:ape: Really can't beat 1K HP. What's a million dollars here or there.
