I have to agree with CATO and add that IMO the paranoia created by 24 hr news networks not having any other top story partnered with the apparent need for people to WANT to use the word "pandemic" only fuels the fire. There is also a CYA function here lest we forget Katrina and the governments apparent lack of immediate response to that crisis.

LOL I wonder if the the parents of the kid licking the pig are getting compensated for having the childs picture splattered everywhere and can you imagine being the kid and having it follow you around?

Under the right circumstances any cold can kill you. and well you could walk across the street too.................best not to wake up in the morn best way to go in your sleep but I wonder if God loves me that much.???LOL

salmonella almost killed my kid and she got it from someone touching her that had it in their skin. It was a third world form. looked like the movies blood everywhere and for weeks. they called in the CDC

if we live in panic we DON'T LIVE AT ALL!!!!

About 2 months ago I ended up in the ER with flu-like symptoms... fever, body aches, severe headache. Funny, I had been fragging zoas a few days prior. I didn't even think of it until I got to the ER, but you should have seen the look on the nurse's face when I tried to explain what reefing was and told her about the palytoxin I'd read about.

The doc finally looked at the rash on one side of my forehead and diagnosed it. Shingles. I was in severe pain and at home for most of the the next month. Even gave Chicken Pox to my younger son despite his having been vaccinated. Thank god for pain meds! I'm finally back to almost normal and have switched back to bourbon instead of the narcotics ;)

If it happened now, I'd have been sure it was Swine flu and gone to the doc a LOT sooner!

It's all a bunch of crap IMO. Last year... bird flu (that really hit the nation hard didn't it), this year swine flu...next year it'll be the fish flu. All it's doing is causing panic in people to go out and blow $$$ on crap they don't need.

Here's some interesting info... http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2009/04/29/Swine-Flu.aspx
fish flue does this mean I will have to stop kissing my fish

Only if it makes the wife jealous. lol

LOL. ok ready guys? I work at a local hospital. Had someone come in wanting to get tested for swine flu....because they ate mexican food! lol. This is really getting blown WAY out of proportion. For people in good health, its like any other flu. Just get treated and youll be fine.
