27 million short position have to be unwound. Stock likely to go over 100 next week. If you feel like gambling put 650 in may 18 calls at 100. You may lose 650 or make thousands. I have no insider knowledge. Play at your own risk.

I am out. Made a few dollars. If one were to buy those calls at $.65 and sold at the peak yesterday the return would be around 10 k.

Nice, congrats. This is beyond my comprehension...I should have studied to be a trader. Never too late to learn though, can you recommend any good reads?

Kudos. I guess missed it:sad2:. I haven't done enough research so I didn't pull the trigger. Thanks for the education though.

No use in studying... just dig in and you will learn in real world. start with small trade so you don't lose too much. I have a master degree in investment finance and corporate finance. After many classes, my conclusion is: don't gamble. That is the reason I told recruiters why I am doing corporate finance now in interview. (The real reason was I couldn't find a job in a investment bank when graduated...)

My recommendation of reading is: Liar's poker by Michael Lewis, its a fun book to read too. The point taken here is investment bank DO NOT CARE if you win or lose, they care about volume. They profit from commissions, either you win or lose.

Another good story is long term capital case, though I don't remember which book covers the whole story. Basically it is a story how a company owned by two Nobel prize winners and hired only top PHDs from Ivy league went bankruptcy in days, when the market didn't behave like what they expected.

Wanted to revisit this, price was 85$ on May 15th

Over 100$ a week later, good call! I was out of the country at the time, but a couple of friends made decent money on Options :spin1:

Anybody actually own one of their cars instead of the stock? I have been very close to getting one but would prefer to lease. Amazing cars, I think they are 5-10 years ahead of every other car maker.

Snapped a quick pic of one sitting out front of RC a couple weeks ago.....

They may be 5-10 years ahead of the others, but if battery advancements continue the way they are, Li-on batteries will be out and Li-air will be in. Tesla has all thier eggs in one basket.

My sister has the signature model. It's perfect in every way except price. It's the ultimate geek car. Car software upgrade via wireless Internet connection. Faster than a BMW M5 for the first 3 seconds. Twice as efficient as a Prius in terms of miles per unit energy used. Quieter than a Lexus . If its stolen can deactivate remotely and recovered. Seats 7. Has two trunks. No oil change or tuneup.

I thought about getting one but decided to wait a couple years for later versions and hopefully reduced price

I see them all over the Bay Area when I go for work. I guess that google or Facebook money moves you up the waiting list. ;-)
