ot: topsy turvy planter

I have my first garden this year. old-fashioned style in the ground. it's doing great. I might do a couple raised beds for some more finicky stuff next year - I haven't been able to grow any lettuce in my dirt, my peppers look like crap, and I'd like to do blueberries, I didn't even bother trying those. but tomatoes, summer squash, zucchini, brussels sprouts and various herbs are all looking fantastic. I've learned what will grow in my dirt with very little effort, anyway.

these things are stupid, that goes without saying.

Well, I think at some point I'm going to try the strawberry one. :) My yard is small enough considering two 87lb dogs that I don't want to be fencing off a section for a garden (which would be needed to protect it from them) and yet I'd prefer to have some fresh strawberries rather than running to the store. I'll just have to drop in at my aunt's for her garden grown tomatoes, peppers, etc.
