OT: What do you put on your hot dog?

Jimmy's at North ave and Pulaski or Gene and Judes are my fav.

All beef hot dog with onions, mustard, tomato, relish, sport peppers, and celery salt.

Demon dogs is gone?! I haven't been by there is years. That used to be the best drunk dog in the city. I'm kinda partial to Bozo's because they are all over around my house and I grew up on them. And there is no place for ketchup on a hotdog, it makes me sick.

You all need to try them wrapped in bacon and topped of with mayo, mustard, ketchup, diced onions, tomatoes, and jalapeños and ham cut up in little triangles.

What is wrong with you:eek2:

This is Chicago.

One more thing... It's gotta snap!

By "snap" do you mean you have to feel that squirt-thingy (that sounds so wrong), when you bite into it like you are breaking through the tough skin? If so, I hate that part! hahaha. I used to love Portillo's dogs until they changed them a few years ago and now you have to break through the skin when you bite into them and I get squeamish.

But what do I like on my dogs? Mustard, relish, cucumbers, , celery salt and tomato/onions. If there is Ketchup on it, I will eat that, too--no big deal. And I want a big ole garlic pickle on the side, too!

My favorite is The Wiener Circle on Broadway at about 2am

Love the Wiener Circle even though they are rude as he** there. It's part of the tradition and charm. ;)

Plain with fries, black pepper, and celery salt.

I've delivered to most of the hot dog stands on the south side and south burbs including Portillos since it is an account of the company I work for. The best dog to me is a Vienna dog from Andy's on Vincennes in South Holland.

to me ( a Brooklyn guy) nothing says hot dog like an all beef Nathan's Hot Dog from Coney Island....with Gulden's Spicy Brown mustard and sauerkraut!!! (on a "seedless" bun!!!) yummmm....:p

Finally I was waiting for someone who knows real food to speak up , any good food came from NY to Chicago then they take it here and mess it up : IE: no ketchup ,we'll put tomato, and make the relish florescent green!! Oh yea while your at it take that pizza take the crust off and cut it in square pieces . Or how about a beef sandwich, kindof like a cheese steak but instead in Chicago you take Deli roast beef soak it in hotdog water dip the bread in the hotdog water and serve it without cheese.  Although I live here and I'm still fat !!!
:eek1: :eek1:

Oh yea and tis the season: GO YANKEES!!!!:eek1:

NY Pizza is a joke...they put toppings only in the middle, and leave the ends free. Ya gotta fold it in half to eat it so you think you've actually got something. We don't take stuff from New Yak and ruin it..we make it ROCK!! If you want a good cheese steak head to Baltimore..not NY. Even Eli came to Chicago and made a New York Cheesecake better....Chicago's not my favorite town but it sure beats the heck outta NY.

Cheese Steaks are from Philly but any NY er eat them .......And Eli came here cause he knew he could sell his subpar Cheesecake here and everyone would like it ...In NY he was just another flash in the pan

For the record... If you're over 12yrs old you should not be putting ketchup on a red hot. Period!

No Ketchup on a hot dog is a north side Fairy Tale, it is fine on the southside.

I split a tamale down the center lay it in the bun, put the hot dog in there cover with chili, cheese, cucumbers, tomatos, sport peppers and celery salt.
