OT: What I have been doing in my spare time for the last 4+ weeks

Well as some know the wife and I just moved to Columbia IL. We had one immediate problem with the new house. The main bathroom was sub-par at best.

We have turned this

Into this.....

We moved the main plumbing wall back a little over foot which meant moving the vent stack and the drains for the sink and toilet over a foot. When we added the new whirlpool tub the drain ended up right on top of an existing floor joist so it had to be boxed out and framed around. Surprises around every corner. All I have to do now is hang drywall on the other side of the wall, tape and paint it. Oh and add the crown molding to the bathroom ceiling. Oh yeah and finish grouting some tile, and finishing some trim and putty and paint the finish nails.

Then the wife said I can start building the 75 downstairs.

I tried four time to get the new pictures to show up not on their sides, hopefully photobucket rights itself tonight.

I absolutely love the sink and vanity. That is almost exactly the one I want for our bathroom, but first have to convince (force) Rich to want it also. I am sure eventually I can get him to see it my way.

As far as that vanity is concerned it was a closeout type item at home depot we got the top and stand for $200. We looked for about a month solid for a vanity.

Widening this room was not an option it was required. The work was worth it. In the old bathroom your knees would hit the tub when you were sittin on the commode.

As far as the puffy things go, those are for me to worry about.

Ditto's + on the remodel it looks great.
Almost too good to let anyone come over and defile the new crapper.

columbia's roads are getting trashy... beer cans and cases everywhere... the side of the road is like an advertisement for natty light.
