Our 40g Island waterfall

Added some new fish for the first time since the crash, I'm not a huge fish fan but I'm kinda full on corals lol

Added a small six line to help with the amphipods, with no predators in the tank they've been getting out of control and munching on zoas so this guy has been hired to keep the peace lol

Added a small scooter to aid in the battle and both these guys been hunting the first second they were in :)

And last but not least added a tiny boxfish for the only reason of personality lol this guy was eating pellets of right out the gate and I don't have a ton of flow so we will see how he does in our system

Overall the tank is doing great things are growing out of control and I'm still after some more zoas and sps but probably will be in the new year before I do :)

Cheers guys

Denny and ruth :)

Last pics of 2016 tomorrow I'll grab a video , I'm pretty much out of room now lol

Added a yellow slug a couple Acros and some shroom today going to grab some more sps tomorrow

Enjoy everyone and happy new year

Looking very good man. Nothing like a packed out softy dominate tank. Love it.

Corey

Thanks Corey, things mingle nicely and tanks fairly low maintenance, lots of movement down low and around the tank it's basically a free for all down there lol and the island allows me to put some nicer stuff I can view top down that I don't have to worry about being grown over

Now that our baby will be crawling soon were talking about getting the stand finished so I think next weekend were just taking the weekend to do this will be cool to see finished :)

Cheers

Picked up my stands side panels yesterday, they turned out nicer than I thought it's a slick new car type finish on it and the patterns is crisp:)

Unwrapped them last night for a quick fit and to go over them, really happy with how they came out now just to finish the front next weekend:)

Cheers guys

the build and the tank are looking amazing but had a few questions do u run any blue lights or night lights ?

No not anymore prior to the crash we ran t5 but changed to the halides and have ran just the two 175w pendants with 20k bulbs , eventually I'd like to add a small supplemental led if it fits the setup :)

Were loving the halides though vs my t5 and leds we've had over the years its nice to go back to something aesthetically pleasing with a natural feel , corals respond great and I feel the tank as a whole is happy under these lights :)

So was getting a bit of white skeleton showing on this acro and shrugged it off as the piece was a bit stressed when I got it so thought maybe a bit of Stn

Then thought I seen a small set of eyes so zoomed in and sure enough he's the tiniest little white crab ever lol hairy little bugger to :p

Cool none the less he blends right in almost perfectly lol

Anyone know what he is ? Hes out tomorrow regardless but just curious

Tank is still doing well haven't done a lot to it in the last couple weeks if anything it's overdue for water change and a good cleaning , I did prune some corals down as it was getting tight in some places

Few pics taken tonight
