Where are you housing all these pairs? Are you keeping the pairs by themselves on a breeder type system (multiple tanks plumbed together?)
Nope thats not it. I read somewheres that if you shune the light directly at the eggs it would delay the hatching. I just can't remember were I read that at. I was just wandering for how long would it delay them? The eggs started turning silver yesterday and that would be day 6 from her laying the eggs.
Just wondering what sort of diet you are using to condition them to lay eggs. I have read in Hoff's book that diet has big affect on number of eggs laid, hatch rate and subsequent survival rate.
Batch 2 is doing fine... I started feeding Octomine A yesterday...
The parents laid a new clutch of eggs yesterday... I'm quickly running out of room & tanks..
FWIW TDO Chroma BOOST A is a much better feed for this purpose. Its Otohime, but top dressed. TDO Small/Medium/Large are great for broodstock conditioning.
Well Sandy we still have babies swimming around now I pray that my rotifers will last. When can I add the baby brine shrimp for them to eat mixed in with the rotifers? 4-5 days after hatching? 6-8 days after hatching?
