Our Marineland 300 DD

Dude, I love the aquascaping. Been on a few shallow dives and it looks just like that. I noticed you have quite a few caps and tables pretty high up. Any concerns that they will shade too much?
Thanks! You have one nice tank as well. FLMAO on the cap question they are what supplies the midwest LOL. Lobb off a hunk for a friend and 3 days later its back!! I do favor my green and purple rim caps. I am on the hunt for the more unusual color morphs of cap right now and will be removing the UFO's as the "poker chip frags" grow in the close size of the ones taken out. Here is some pics of our 155 bow front riddled with caps. Hence my Plan to have Marineland build me a custom 10ft DD. Stay tunned for that bad boy!

These fish crack me up! They will simply just swim up and let you hold them?

This is quite amazing!

May I ask what is the exact dimension of your tank and if you can share more pics of the supporting equipments / peripherals that sustain this tank (sump tank, etc), please?

Thanks in advance!

Wow what an incredible tank. I agree I think you should upgrade so we can all learn more on your planning and aquascape skills. This time lets see the dirty build pics so we can learn. Thank you for sharing such an amazing system.

Did you go for the starfire option on the tank? My only concern when i buy mine is how soft the glass might be when you go to clean it. IE sand particles causing scratches.

I went for the $100 Starfire glass and yep it is a lot softer glass. The tank is still a "virgin" meaning I have yet to get that first ^%#@! scratch in the glass. I use a mag float to clean it but I have learned from past tanks to take the mag float out if I am not using it. The small snails of sand/debri dosent have a chance to settle in the float.

Very nice tank. What kind of sand do you use and how do you keep it so clean?
I use sugar size sand and it stays clean by sifting the sand once a week. I use a fine mesh net and have at it, my LPS seem to love the nutrients all suspended in the water when I sift the sand bed.

What do you feed these things so that they will do that?!?! I've never seen that before!!.

Very nice tank btw. I won't have one quite that big, but hopefully I will starting on my custom 125 soon.

Just curious if you have a clean up crew and if the Tusk Fish pays to much attention to them?
The crew is my tangs. I will give the shout out to the Yellow Eye I will put him against any snail, Starfish and next would be my Orange Shoulder he keeps the sand real clean the others pic at the rocks all day.

Wow that tank is awesome I am so inspired. I have a 300 gallon tank but mine doesn't look anythig like yours. You said your upgrading..........r u interested in selling that set up? :)

thats it i quit... either got to quit looking at forums of awsome tanks or quit reefing lol .. gorgeous tank great job.
