They are set up for drain. I wish I did not have them at all they take away from the entire 36" side view. Overflows are a whoppin 12" wide in plain view. I would have rather drilled the back and called it a day. Closed loop is a up and over.

Beautiful tank emilio, I think I read you are using mogul based MH lights, did the factory canopy give you enough room for them? if so are the bulbs pretty close to the water? I've been looking at this tank for a while but thought the canopy looked a bit shallow for mogul metal halides, which is what I have. Thanks

Hate to say it but I AM GOING TO CHEAT! Feel like I am in HS again sitting next to an honor student! Thanks for sharing. I am ordering my 300DD next week, just planning it now. We are doing an in-wall with the front and right side visible. Do you think if I had them drill another hole in the left overflow it would be sufficient for the tank? Do one as a drain, second as a fail safe, and the third as a return?

Any updates? =) So your closed loop runs 2 sea swirls? You use 3/4 in sea swirls correct? Then for your return, you use 2 more sea swirls? This is by far my favorite tank on here!!! It has me thinking...... :eek2: Okay, I apologize. I see the sea swirls are all on your closed loop. How loud is your closed loop? Where is your return? I do not see a return line at all in your tank. Where did you drill your closed loop hole?

Wow your tank is amazing...I love how the deep dimension allows you to have such a great aquascape and still leave lots of swimming room for your tang gang. Ill probably have dreams about this tank at night haha. Cant wait to see that 1200 you keep mentioning.

Thanks for all the comments I have been busy for a while. This has kept me from my passion for a bit but I am back at it again! I have to say there is a few more additions since the last few pics I posted I will get new pics up ASAP. Marinegirl411, My return lines are well placed out of sight. The closed loop is up and over and plumed into the overflow box that also is out of sight. To better explain I will get some pics up to show you.
