Our Mini 425 Ocean

Thanks for all the info guys. In that second pic look at the bottom of that rock they are all over it. I want to try and get these things removed before I hook up the 150 fuge.

pretty big star too. See if you can borrow a CBB instead. They are hard to keep in most reef tanks and once it has eaten all the aiptasia, it may perish. Bacause my tank is large there is a never-ending (I hope) supply of food, but be forwarned, it will eat every feather worm in your tank as well. That was a sacrifice I did not want to make, but I hd no choice.

DAmm.. I like the feather dusters a little. Maybe I can relocate them before I put one. I tried to pull one of a rock with some chopsticks and it came apart. So I guess I just fragged a couple. I dont want to use any of my pliers becauseof chemicals

I think you should talk to the folks at Lexus Annonymous. They can help you.

I was thinking the same thing!

I used Joes Juice and nuked the aiptasia that I had and they haven't come back.

hahahaha...I have been a fan of toyota for a while. I might get the new Sequioa gas hog. I just need to get rid of some stuff first.

Here are some of the frags that made it.

And to top it off I wanted to try a coral beauty and I saw him picking at the frags. I need to catch him and trade him or something. I said I wasn’t going to buy any angels but a flame. This blows.

I should dump the coral beauty and star for some perpermint and a CB. If I could be so lucky.hahahaha

tbittner -So I don't have to inject into them you'just put in the water column. What else does it kill? I need to try something.

I just read about it Joes Juice. i will pick some up but this is going to be a battle. Hopefully I get lucky with a CB.

That kinda bites that the LFS would sell you frags and a coral eating star!

All angels are individuals, but my CB is going on four years and no real issues with corals. It grazes all day, and will steal food from a coral polyp in a heart beat, but I do not believe itis causing any real harm.

Aptasia! Uhg! I had some come in on some LR once. I used TM STOP Aptasia. They went away. Almost two years later I see some in my fuge now. Not a lot, but where there's some there is more. The only ones I could see were growing on the egg crate frag rack so I tossed it. I am bracing for battle. Grrrrrrr pesky little buggers!

I saw some aiptasia on a rock in my tank once long ago. I didn't mess around with needles and past. I knew i didn't want that in my tank and tossed the rock into boiling water for 20 minutes. Needless to say, i never saw one again :D Today that rock is a thriving happy sps holder.

I have little sprouts and a bunch of rocks. I have it in my overflows too. The battle begins. At least I don't have my fuge up.

I also had a lot of luck using boiling water but they kept coming back. Since I used Joe's Juice, I haven't seen any since then. I think it's the same as kalk paste though, just more expensive.

Or if you don't any corals on the rock, use Frankies method. That would eliminate them too.

Reeftanks6 - Thanks..

I pulled some rocks out yesterday and got all my tangs ****ed. I got a few off and put some in the jar. I got stung by one. I took some cool pics and I will post them soon.

I found a decent price on a Mrc 4 beckett skimmer. Should I hook this up external or internal the sump. I am going to run my return line from my overflow to feed. I think it is too tall to put in fuge because it will hit the shelf above it has a added neck option. So I am thinking of going external.

Eric, MR4 is a monster. Which pump are you going to run them on?I used to have the MR3 dual becket with Iwaki 70 pressure rated pump.

Sorry, I missed this question. It comes with a syringe and you just squirt it on the head of the anemone. Squirt enough so the whole head is clouded with it. A few seconds later it's disolved and gone. I used it on one that was sticking out from a Zoa colony. The Zoas were closed for maybe a 1/2 hour then they were back out and happy again.

You don't want to use too much of it all at the same time though. It will mess with your PH is you use too much of it.

Eric

Is the MR4 a recirc moddle? If so, run that bad boy external so you can plumb the Marlin stright into it. Gravity feed it if possible right from a drain. I have had one for a couple of years and only used it for rock curing and tank start up, it is a beast! I'll be hooking it up for full time duty soon :)
