I just found my flame hawk and flame angel in the overflow dead. These 2 fish have been favorites of mine for a while. I love the colors of both and the flame hawks personality. I cant express in words ...
 
Thanks Hop...You guys have a good night..I think I am going to take a break for tonight. i will just have to make a better gaurd. it just sucks as we all know...I hate to loose livestock..

Yeah. I am refering to enlarging the bulkhead that feeds the ricirculating pump. Mine currently has a 1" BH. Need a bigger one to run a lower watt. higher flow Reeflow pump like Dart or Baracuda. Supose it's an "easy" mod and I should just grow a pair and drill it. :cool:

Eric , still catching up here, so sorry to hear about your fish losses. That's a bummer. :thumbdown

On the upside it looks like you've done a ton of work. :thumbsup:
 
John - They were both sucked to the pipe.

ReefSafeNija = Yeah the sand looks like it wouldn't get blown around as much

Lunch - The skimmer has arrived. I started doing some landscape this week. It is what the misses wanted. Tons of work but almost done. I will try and get to it this weekend. I might try and make soe room for it tomorrow. I will get some pics. Thanks I just really liked the flame hawk and I just got the angel. What a bummer. No more fish untill I get he overflows worked out. I think I might remove the gurgle blaster and do the norm with some egg crate or something.


Bax - The Merlin pump uses more then twice the wattage as my dart. It is heavy too. have you heard about the Dart gold needle pump? Hopefully I can keep the momentum going. Just getting to many blisters from the yard work. My hands were burning last night moving the sand and water I had to the fuge.

Well the only updates i have is almost done with the yard so i can really devote some time to the tank.

My RC4 skimmer has arrived. It is Big. I might have to shorten one of my work benchs to make it fit next to the fuge.

The new fuge is filling with R/O water as we speak. I am not going to attach to the tank for a little to see how the aptasih goes. I see 2 new little pieces in the display. Tomorrow I will see If I can get them out to the QT where the CB is. He hasn't touched the ones that are in hte QT yet. I am getting a little worried about him. I don't want to starve him but want to make sure he like aptashia.

John - You were right it is tuff knowing he didn't eat anything today.

I've ben eyeing the Dart Gold. But, I have two standard Darts and a Cuda, still in boxes, so I am trying to work with those.

When you spot your skimmer keep the pump location in mind, it double the footprint.

Is yout MR4 a recirculating modle?
