William Richard was born 10/26 so he's just over a month old. He is the sweetest little boy ever! Unfortunately while we were off having the baby, the heater malfunctioned in my little 5G reef and cooked everything in it...including a TT and some wonderful torches and palys I've had for years :furious:
Stupid heaters!!
It was upsetting, but I have bigger things to worry about now...

He looks just like his daddy. If I hadnt been pregnant for 9 months and if the memory of labor pains wasn't so fresh in my memory, I'd wonder who his mommy is.

nice! Congrats! My tank got neglected when our son was born as well. It's all good though. I find more fun in setting up the tank than maintaining it anyways.

HA, cute kid!...which one of you was trying to Mohawk his hair? :)

btw, i just had something like that happen to me. Somehow my AC3 temp probe got pulled above the waterline and the system temp shot up almost 5 degrees. I caught it in time but my strawberry Monti is having a fit ATM :( I think it will pull through.

Congrats on the baby!!

thanks everyone!
and yes, i was trying to mohawk his hair haha. I'm going to spike it tonight and pop his collar, just to horrify his dad. :)

thinking about setting up a pico with some leftover parts. is 1 G too small for some pretty anemones and plays? i think i will ask for a ecopico LED strip for xmas.
i need a tank in my life, even if its teeny weeny.

I started my first reef aquarium when we got preggo 19+ years ago.
It was a huge change in my life... settling down and becoming a responsible adult.
There's a strong connection between my reef aquarium and my son (although he'll probably never know that and I would never tell him!)
With an aquarium you can find peace and solace: no advertisements, no arguing, no crying, no debates.

You can stop and wonder at the fragility of life in between changing diapers and losing sleep.

The kid in this thread is adorable. Looks like a little boxer. Good luck with him!

Wonderful. Beautiful baby. God Bless you and your family. I never had time for the hobby when my kids were growing up. Always busy with one event or crises or another; busy working too. They have filled our lives in wonderful ways. My wife and I raised two girls and a boy. The youngest is 30 now and the oldest is 39. We get to spend lots time with our two grandsons ages 15 and 3 but have more time for the things we want to do now.
