Danday is FedEx Friday or UPS Friday delivers for danfeig. He always have something delivered on Friday from the big shippers so we named it Danday.

Think he was trying to get me confused again. He first explanation was correct!!
After doing some reading on keeping healthy Blue Regals I read about the variety in their diet. I've been known to have a well stocked freezer but still grab the foot closest to my reach for continuous days, I wanted to avoid that. I had also read that feeding the frozen food soon after thawing isn't a good idea, so here I just cut each cube into 1/4's and each container gets one (containers were obtained from my local Moes). I'm going to have one container of frozen food per feeding so they don't think in the fridge for days. They will soak with one cap of garlic while refrigerated. This should allow me to keep feelings regulated, without over feeding and give a variety of frozen foods daily.

oh, and here is an amusing story.
Today I answer my phone to a North Charleston Detective. He ask's if i'm Owen and I confirm. He then asks if i'm expecting a freight package to arrive in Charleston today, I again confirm. He goes on to tell me that they are conducting an inspection of a freighting company and the drug dog has called out my freight container as having marijuana on or inside of it and he needed my permission to allow him to inspect it either with or without my presence.
Now I'm starting to worry that Miracles are also involved in a huge drug ring and are using their aquarium freight containers to move weed across the country and i'm going to get busted when they open it up and find the goods.
I decide to allow him to open the container explaining to him that 'it's only a fish tank' and ask him to let me know if it arrived in one piece (the aquarium not the weed...). He calls me back a short while later and confirms the container only contained an aquarium and i'm good to go!! Phew!!!

You should have told him that the marijuana plants are for your refugium to lower excessive nutrients.

I went to pick the tank up today. She's now in her final resting place.
I'm relatively happy with Miracles craftsmanship, slightly disappointed in some of the messy silicone work I had to clean up myself, considering the price of their tanks their quality control should be better. I have noticed a scratch on a side panel also.
I installed the black vinyl prior to placing the tank on the stand and it has discolored badly in places, I don't know why, i've never had that happen before, but, it will need to be removed. Unfortunately the tank is too close to the wall to install another piece and I don't plan on moving it again any time soon. I need to come up with an innovative way to black the back pane of glass.
The plan this weekend is to get the plumbing done and the tank running with freshwater.....we'll see!

Sorry to hear about the issues Owen!
If you have enough space you can use plastic paint and apply it with a roller !
Its very easy to remove with a scraper afterwords if you need to !

Here is an update from the weekends work.
Started and completed the plumbing, fixed a couple of small leaks. It never turns out as neat as you hoped and after being bent over the in cabinet for so long i'm glad it's finished.
Some parts went missing along the way......
and we had some extra paws for quality control
we picked up some extra sand to go along with the sand removed and dried from the 120 and started mixing saltwater.
This is where the weekend left off. The tank is still having its freshwater test, no signs of leak, had to adjust the syphon break on the return as it was causing splashing onto the inside of the overflow and back out onto the tanks rim and wall.
The drains are keeping up with the return and when the pump shuts off the sump easily holds all the draining water, in fact, it also holds the whole contents of the overflow too if i remove a drain pipe.
Water is about 1" from the rim of the tank, very high, we'll have to see how this works when powerheads are running, I may have to dial the pump back slightly to drop the water level.

tonight I hung the Vega's over the tank just to get an idea of their coverage and the real look of the tank. It looks so much more impressive when it's lit, makes me itch to get the livestock moved over now.

Thanks! I had the Vegas on my 120 48x24x24 and it covered well. The 180 is 48x36x24, so I have 12" extra depth, AI claim that they can cover a 24x24 area, I may lose some strength in the front and back but only time will tell. Looked good last night anyway.

That IPHONE idea is really cool . what purpose does it serve. is it just to have access to the apex charts and stuff or do you use it to control the pumps, lights etc?
Love the dalmation puppies too, I just picked up a 6 month old male puppy dalmation 2 weeks ago. Great dog so far!
