Owners Thread: Innovative Marine Fusion 40

Guys I just officially joined this club.. I wanted a oceanic 30 cube back in the days, this is is now realized with a fusion 40!

Question .. did you guys peel off the back vinyl, I wont have a chance once I install the tank
Not sure if I want to grow chaeto in such a small compartment.. how many of you are growing chaeto?
I think I am going to grow it inside an external carbon reactor instead if needed

Welcome to the crazy world of fusions. I'm still hanging out here till mine is gone!
Some are peeling off just a section for the fuge light and growing it successfully. Others like me, are not.i tried at one time but was not successful at it. I was using a submersible led to light it. I would suggest you make your mind up prior to final installation because it won't be easy afterwards.(unless your tank is free standing or you have really long arms)

oh nevermind..the censors are hard at work...
I understand their need to block certain things, but really? In this day and age of technology they need to adapt to the speed of information presented.

If you are on Facebook, you'll see the link on the Mindspring page.
If not, google it...

Hey all! So this is my first attempt at an all in one. I have the Fusion 40. Because it’s so small I decided to go as high tech as possible, try some new things. My name is Adam, and I’ve been reef keeping about 11 years now. I’d say I’ve tried it all, but is that even possible anymore!?! Anyhow, I look forward to getting tips and tricks from you guys, and jumping in where I can!!
Innovative Marine Fusion 40
MP10 QD
Radion XR15
Apex Neptune Controller (with all the available probes)
Tunze Osmolator 3155 ATO
Tunze 9004 Skimmer
Innovative Marine Mini Max Media Reactor
20 Pounds AragAlive sand
30 Pounds BRS dead Fuji Rock
Custom Caddy
Finnes Titanium 300Watt Heater
Sicce 2.0 Return pump
Spin Streams

The tank cycled in 16 days. I added 2 snowflake clowns, 2 varieties of Frogspawn, Hammer coral, and some green palys. I’ll get some pics up soon. Just wanted to get on, say hello, and really just introduce myself.

Hi, what's the best way to remove the stock pump, they now wrapped the pump in bubble wrap so it doesn't destroy itself during shipping. Seems really jammed in there.

Do you pull off the 2 90 degree elbows on the top? Thanks.

Yes, Pull off the 2 90 degree fittings then pull straight up. If the entire pump is wrapped in bubble wrap it should come right up. If its just padding, the suction cups may be stuck to the bottom. If thats the case, then get a finger down there to disrupt the seal...

Nothing wrong with the stock pump...but yes, the sicce is better:beer:

Def nothing wrong with stock. I like the extra flow from the sicce and the complete silence of it. Ive only had it 2 days and Im really happy I took the plunge for it.Now for me, I did it bc the tank is in my bedroom right net to my head, so that was the driving force for me. Now If I could just get one of these new snowflake clowns to eat something...

I was sold already but now I'm really sold on the Sicce. Go enjoy your vacation!

Well, there appears to be a vote for the Sicce being "more" silent . . . I may to have plunge into the pool . . .

I would advise people not to order this tank online if you plan to setup the tank right away. I was missing parts and IM forced me to pay for priority shipping of the missing parts.
