Where were you able to purchase this?

Where were you able to purchase this?

So my OEM Pump was slowing down and not pumping as well as did originally. So I bought the Sicce pump everyone suggest to use. Boy is to fun to put in that center section. Had to remove the screen on the pump and the install the adapter on while the pump was under water.

Luckily I had also picked up some 1/2 ID tubing while at Home Depot. As I redid the lines as the pump is a different size. Just thought I would share this so you know if you do use the pump it is not just a drop in replacement and it is a real tight fit.

Hi, where did you purchase this? I noticed a similar issue with my return pump

So I went ahead and installed another 476 Nuvo38 on my tank...and wow...I think I got way too much flow now...476x2=952...roughly 900 GPS
It was a spare pump that I was using to help with water changes. I notice my Oem pump was acting sluggish and wanted more flow into the tank, and returned into the sump.

Any thoughts?

sicce syncra 1.5 - 2.0 pump depends what you're growing

Interesting. I've always debated about upgrading the pumps. I noticed that the Sicce 1.5 is rated at 357. Thats a little lower than the OEM Nuvo Pump which is rated at 476.

Anyone have the Sicce 2.0? Do you like it thus far? If you have the spin streams, are they flowing efficiently?

And yes, I read that you got it from Home Depot, but after doing a search Home depot didn't have it.

Thanks

If you did an online search you will not find it. Home Depot doesn't have everything in their phone app or website.
I have the Sicce 2.0 with the spin streams it is a really tight fit for this pump had to assemble after putting it down in the return section. Worked fine but is not an easy remove pump.

I run the Sicce 2.0 pump as well. Really tough to get in there. What surprised me was the flow was actually slightly less than the stock pump but I trust it more as the stock pumps have had their issues. In my case, I may have to rework the plumbing from the pump. Maybe it is too restrictive.

Interesting...I've had mine for over a year now and haven't really noticed a HUGE difference. When I did, I pulled it cleaned it out and it worked like a charm. Also, while cleaning I did notice that the nozzle was a bit loose. So, I tightened it up and it worked (maybe that was the issue).

Maybe I should hold off on upgrading, since I have an extra pump in case of an emergency.

Just purchased the basic Nuvo 40 without AIO features

Can't wait to set this up! I went with the "new" Nuvo 40 from MD to have a larger footprint for aquascaping. Also, another part of my reasoning is that I have a large CPR refugium which is actually larger than the divided chambers that come with the 40 Fusion. It will peep out about 3/4"-1" or so on the sides but it will allow more depth at 4.5". I will run all my components through it and may not use it as a fuge since I may need more flow. What do you think?

The silicone is clear and where the smoked glass meets the sides is rough and bubbly and quite messy. Do you think it is okay to just razor blade the excess off? I have called IM and they are saying that the silicone that seals the panels together is actually the integrity of the tank and should be fine. They have apologized for the debris/dirt and the rough and bubbled silicone job. Do you think I will be okay just to clean it up a bit?

I really want to get to setting this up now!

On the CPR fuge, I will be adding a brace to make sure that no weight is put on the back panel of glass....just in case.

Congrats! Not sure of which area you are referring to

This is not a Nuvo Fusion 40, but the Nuvo 40 Black that does not have the divider in back. The silicone is messy more on the back left seam where the side glass panel joins the smoked glass panel. Should I just leave the excess? Will make it a little harder to clean algae away.

I run this setup and I called CPR and they assured me no brace was needed. Its been fine on my tank for over a year - no problems.

That's crazy that you would receive a new product in that condition

Post some pictures of the new tank!

Thanks for your help with my fuge issue. I am not concerned about the integrity of the large CPR fuge I'll be using, but the integrity of the IM smoked glass back panel. Since I only have 4 panels of glass siliconed together, (Nuvo Black) I don't want to chance putting 5 gallons of water weight on that back glass with all my components...heater, skimmer, pump, etc. without support. Does that make more sense? Thanks again.
