I'm gonna TRY to hold off buying anything for my new build until The end of June. It'll give the tank almost 2 months to cycle. Reefapalooza is June 25 in New Jersey, right near me.
Here's a short list of the fish I'm thinking of keeping.
Gold nugget clown fish or
Black ice snowflake fish
Blackcap basset
Green banded goby
Blue spot jawfish
Flaming prawn goby
Purple fire fish

Fish will come much later for me. I've found once I get past the initial cycle corals do very well for me. The fish are extra to me. Corals come first.
Tank is testing well...so I took the chance. Couldn't pass up all the deals.

I thought about doing that. Then I thought about having to try to catch it to get it out of the tank!! LOL. I'm gonna try to stay away from that.

Airwaybill, do you have a protein skimmer? If so, which one, and what chamber is it in?
I'm slowly planning a tank, and a lot of Fusion 40's I see seem to have their skimmers sticking up quite a bit out of the back. I personally hate that look, and would want to try to avoid that.
You don't seem to have anything showing (though maybe it's because it's not there haha).

No skimmer yet. Ordering the tunze 9004 I believe. Or maybe the ghost. Haven't decided yet. Not a fan of the look either...but...if people notice that instead of what's in the tank...im doing something very wrong lol.

I have both the Tunze and the Ghost and the Tunze far outperforms the ghost. Visually you can't really see either skimmer when looking at the tank. I would reccomend going with the DC if you get the Tunze as the control is helpful to skim wet or dry.
