Owners Thread: Innovative Marine Fusion 40

like the proposed aquascape! How many lbs of sand are people going with?

If your talking about my aquascape then thank you very much. The wife and I both spent a few hours moving things around until we agreed on this and there's no turning back cuz it's all glued together now lol.

Looking good... love more people getting the IM 40! Spray paint those clear things for the screen black...blends in better..

Ok Reduck...I wont do it.. Not like I wont buy more coral but I won't do it.

I say I'm done about once a week. It's never come true. I was just counting snails and I have a few that the shrimp ate, so I need snails...which means a trip to ultimate, which in turn means, well, you know what it means....I'm not done...I'm never done.

Now you have me thinking about a flame too...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA..... I think you might be right!

Just go small with the flame..I had him for almost a year before the crash and he was happy as can be. Lots of water to swim, no bullying, he was the perfect one. Doubt I will get one again..

Yea, my thought was the smallest one I see. A bit concerned about their aptitude for coral nipping. I guess if I feed it daily it won't bother them. I hope. I just checked stock at a lfs and he got a few in today so I may take a look tomorrow...

Have you had trouble with flames nipping at coral?

Hung my light today. Got the hanging kit from rapid led. Very clean install

One of my juvenile clowns I've had for a few months didn't look so hot this morning. I came home and I can't find him... I guess the CUC made short work of him. The other clown is fine and I have 0 ammonia 0 nitrite and 10 nitrate. I wonder what happened...

Nitrates are way too high. They should be 0 or less than .02 ppm. How long did you let the tank cycle or? Test kit? If you can, always try and find the fish and them out. If not you can get a spike quickly.

I like the dyi baskets. Pretty cool

Find it. It will cause an ammonia spike for sure. Also nitrates are too high. Your cycle isn't complete. CUC could make it disappear but not that fast. Unless you have some real big shrimp. They will drag it under a rock and eat till its gone..it's not likely though. It's in there somewhere, use a flashlight and poke around.

Once you find the carcass, start doing 5g wc each day till you get those nitrates down..don't introduce any more livestock either. It's not healthy for them in those changing water conditions. Slow down...
