Owners Thread: Innovative Marine Fusion 40

I think when I get back I am going to pop out the liner and put a screen top on it and then put back in the black liner. Should work.


Traded in the rbta... Didn't want to go in that Direction anymore. Everything is looking great. Picked up some acans and a nice chalice. Never had a chalice before or acans so looking forward to it.

I ran the midsize for a year with gfo and just unloaded it. Never had an issue with gfo. Didn't run a blend.
 
Brs sells 1/4 inch clear screen. There are some out there that meet the clear criteria and have smaller mesh openings. I emailed the links to our guys to see if they can procure samples...
I know I won't be replacing the goby till I get this sorted. Hate to lose another to jumping.

Chalice is nice addition, Acans rock! Your tank is gonna look nice!

THR007, how do you like the 160WE? I have been going back and forth on this v. the 360WE. I haven't pulled the trigger yet but was all set on the 360.

If I said yes, my wife would kill me. We are leaving our daughter for the first time, we usually travel with her. The longest flight our daughter has been on was 11 hrs..but we figured 15.5 hrs would be pushing it.

Let me know if they figure something out, love to get a good screen. The BRS one is very similar to what we have. Keep me up to date.

I love the color that is coming out of the tank. I will try to get some pics up before we leave.
 
Well as much as I wanted to go with the Radeon or A360WE I decided to do go with the Reef Radiance DM-165. The reviews i read of it seem to be very positive. Debating on which one I want to go with, whether the DM-165E and control it with Apex or the DM-165P and control it via phone.

Big sale on them right now so its a good buy.

I have a 165 P for a few weeks now and it's awesome. The programming via smart phone is very slick. I woujld suggest getting the hanging kit from Rapidled. It's very clean

I had a major disaster this weekend !
I got the IM40 to replace my 12g and eventually move everyone over to it Well.....
My 12g broke and was forced to move everyone over on Sunday, fortunately I had put in some Dr. Tims in Saturday.
I have been watching numbers like a hawk, So far all are zero, (Ammonia, Nitrate, Nitrite, & Phosphate) I have everything running... Skimmer, Reactor, I Put floss and CP Elite in basket. As of tonight I am noticing some algae on sand and glass numbers are still zero. and everyone looks great and happy.

Any Suggestions....:headwally:
 
Watch, test daily, and be ready to react.
It's similar to a huge water change, but with the lack of natural filtration of an established tank.
Bumpy ride ahead...keep sw mixed and ready.

Did you move over the LR as well? Should be fine... Do water changes.. I did daily water changes when my tank crashed.

They just wanted to get into the new tank!
 
My Jason Fox blue hornets finally opened up today after being closed since February after the kalk bathing the whole tank...

I am going to place the dropcam right in front of the tank on the wall so I can see what is going on while I am gone. I am feeling confident about it.

Should I plan on a water change or wait for a few days and see what happens?
 
I'd plan on a water change so you are ready, but test first. If you moved sand and LR over it will bring some bacteria and it just needs to start up. Test every day, watching for ammonia and nitrate spike, then do 10g changes as needed. I have never used dr tims, so can't guess how fast it'll seed or cycle.

Cool. Have fun. Try not to look at the tank while you are at dinner. It's almost as bad as watching sports scores. I speak from experience..

I did move over LR, I was planning on doing change tomorrow when I get home from work. Mixing Salt water now.
