I need to add another 10lb bag of sand to the tank you can see my egg crate stand I built for my aquascape still in a few places. The stand I built put my rock work up 1.5" and 40lb of sand did not cover it all.

Tank looks great.. I need to pull out the camera and take some decent shots. Maybe once I get back on the correct time zone
I'm gonna stick with the xr15 as I got it for a screaming deal
( xr15+rms+reeflink) $400 shipped and only a few months old from a tank tear down. For this tank I don't need the full blown radion as it's only going to be zoas and the rainbow Bta's that are already in it, so the extra coverage/power will be wasted. No plans on adding sps as I have a fully stocked (overgrown lol) sps reef in the living room thriving and a massive frag system in my garage =).. I almost bought 2x AI primes yesterday though
I'm excited for the reef link to control of the light, also I have 8x ecotech pumps through my existing systems and a mp10 going into this one, plus I don't need the rf module for the reef angel on the fusion..

i would expect a couple of days for the retailers to get and ship inventory.
I'm still disappointed in EcoTech for the slow arrival of the Gen3 Pro update kits. I think they are waiting to announce a Gen4 soon...and by then, all the folks waiting to upgrade their fixtures will just buy new...NOT!

My lighting program starts at 6am and runs till 8:45pm. It's not really daylight till 11am then it ramps to 14k for a couple of hours, 20k for 2, then ramps down till moons..
Really in simple terms I give my tank roughly 6 hrs of growing light per day. Still working my way up in power though...trying to acclimate to what will happen when I upgrade my radion...then I'll start all over again..
It's never an easy answer. Balance growth and nutrients and minimal algae growth...to my assortment of corals.
What is good for my tank may not be good for your tank.
Ha! And make sure the output is by the fine china cabinet! It's cool to the see the evolution of the hobby..wet/dry sumps, canister filters and now $700 LED lights!
As Reduck mentioned, there are so may different variables when it comes to lighting (i.e coral placement, coral acclimation, type of lighting..etc)
I have included my schedule, its been great and my tank is doing really well. The custom is about 15-16k. .

Yea I know, only kidding...technology can rescue you here too..from an angry wife...
get an ald module for the apex., and make sure it programmed to scream at the first sign of a leak and shut down everything.........I have one, but it's to protect my cigar humidor, sitting next to the tank. If that gets wet...I'll be angrier than her...probably got more money in that cabinet than the fusion...

Very true I've been in the hobby for about 4 years had a solid 1 year of fresh water before that became "boring" and things have evolved significantly in those 4 years. So much that my wallet can't keep up [emoji58]. When I bought my kessil I thought "man lights can't be any more expensive than $400." Boy was I wrong.

So would the gov. I am lucky enough to have had a sister in law with dual citizenship. Her travels home brought me back many soon to be legal here cigars. Probably 400+, aged cohibas, montes, and some others. I believe they need a min of 2 years rest before I light one...most are 4-5 years at rest. I have maybe 2-3 a year...
Soon to be legal :dance: I can't wait for that to happen.... I am already starting to see the depreciation of your humidor. Time to start selling them to that 18 year old that just got their first humidor
I am not really feeling the sps... they just chill there. I like the coloration of my birdsnest, but I think I will stay with the lps and yumas.

aged cigars are worth considerably more than new ones. No 18 YO would be able to afford them. You should see the auction prices for some pre-embargo cigars. If they are aged and maintained properly , they appreciate like wine. I am not looking forward to post embargo mass produced crap that will come out of Havana..but thats ok, I have enough to last me the rest of my life....
SPS will grow in time. They are not an immediate gratification coral...give them time to start growing. Everyone I know that has them loves them..

Is this really how loud the IM Ghost Midsize is going to be?? Please tell me this is normal for new ones that haven't been broken in yet. I checked the motor, and it's silent when plugged in outside of the chassis, and all components are fit and snug.

Maybe its me but I barely hear it when you plug it in. I had to turn the volume up quite loud to hear it at all. Most likely you are hearing air noise. If you throttle the air valve shut does it stop?
It's less loud if I put my finger over the side air inlet of the venturi, but it's still considerably more loud than just the motors and the Prime's fan. My last tank 10 years ago didn't have a skimmer, so I'm honestly not sure what to expect. But that's why I bought something with "ghost" in the name, because I didn't want to see or hear it
Does anybody know if the Tunze 9004 is any less loud?
