Owners Thread: Innovative Marine Fusion 40

Ha... I will be lucky if I can get it before the end of the summer. I mentioned it to my wife last night and she said well......... you have gone to DR, Asia, and in July the Mediterranean, but you can get it and stay home and cycle your new tank while we go.....

I think that is a No :)

Awesome. Hope you have better luck with his brother!
You do need a 12 step...you are a lot worse than me and I'm real bad...
Moving into the basement allows a sump system? You should look at the cadlights systems! Artisan are really nice. The Red Sea is too though..
Either will make a fine graduation present! It's not the cost of the tank...it's what you put into it...luckily you have top notch stuff in the 40 that can be moved over...since you'll need a second radion....you should buy mine before I send it back for upgrading!! I ordered the G3 pro upgrade and was just going to put it away for my next tank....but if you get your 450 you'll need it first!

Yea, that sounds like a no to me too...you'll wear her down I'm sure..I kind of hinted at the possibility of a bigger tank sooner as well and was told no too. I'm not too surprised but I know it will happen....eventually!

This is THE week to be in the Med. Monaco GP is Sunday...

Yep I saw that.... and saw that amazing crash for qualifying over at Indy..crazy how he just walked away from the crash.

Holy crap, if you need something for your tank, go to BRS, 10% off on almost EVERYTHING. Including Radions, Vortechs, Neptune, etc.

wish I would have known, G3 Radion Pro is $606.69. Mp10WQD is $230.85

Goes till midnight on the 21st

Also, I'm debating removing one of the Mp10's from my tank and using it on my nano. While the flow is nice, I tried repositioning one and turning it up to Reef Crest at 75% and so far the Torch, Hammer and duncan seem happier not getting whipped around.

My acro liked the heavy flow, but my LPS didnt seem to so much. Will run it for a day or so with just the one and see how acro responds.

Never mind on the "everything".. Should have placed an order back when the Vortechs, Neptunes and radions were low.. Guess it was a bug and they shouldn't have been 10% off.

Try repositioning it a little higher. Mine love reef crest at 80%, but my sandsbed does not...or try the front one at lower speed and the rear higher. You'll find a combo that works!

Yes..those map prices don't change too often. It's like a once a year sale...they'd prob cancel the order with that pricing if you got it through...
Still 10% off isn't bad....guess I'll go look before it ends...I'm sure I can find something I need...

Agreed, I would play around with the 10's... my tank loves the flow of them. I have mine at 75 now running....and in honor of getting close to my 500 post..i have raised my lighting schedule by 5%... :)

LOL....I'll see your 5 and go 10% nah..it's just fine at 70%. I just shut the clouds off on one hour cycle....I'll do another hour in a week or two...

Sheesh, im still at 40% - and thats probably still too bright for some of my new additions.

I need to get a frag rack for new corals so I don't have to upset the ones already accustomed to the light and I can just put them near the bottom off to the side.

Time. Give it time. It took me almost 6 months to get where I'm at today, you really don't need a frag rack. Just put them on the bed for a week, then slowly move them up. I'd use a frag rack for testing how high in the tank they can go prior to final placement.

Time is key and acclimation. I start off with the G3, and all my coral first few months were purchased from stores that were running the G3s.

I have two +50 colony zoas that are on the very top of my rock that just eat up the light. Crazy how they love it up there

Gave the Duncan some mysis shrimp today. Is it normal for a head to swell up after eating?

Sure. Usually they get a bump where their mouth is following a meal. Looks like they're puckered.. If they really like it, the polyps close up to hold it so the mouth can munch...quite cool to watch.

Nah, mine didn't get a tiny bump. The head swelled up to about 2x the size. It was trying to eat a piece of shrimp way to big for it

I've seen that too. Make smaller food particles. Scolys will do the same thing. They look like doorknobs...

I have never really target feed except when I had my RTBA... With the solid circulation in the tank, I feel that all the coral is going to get some food loving. They look happy
