Owners Thread: Innovative Marine Fusion 40

Sorry. Was he eaten or just died? I believe I read that most blennies have a slime coat that most fish won't touch. I know our shrimp stay away from Frank II. I would suspect the crab. Always suspect the crab....
If he just died, its a guessing game. Sick, starved, etc. Did he look thin? I watch to make sure ours eats.

Someone killed frank's cousin. Currently doing interrogations.. I don't feel that my brittle star did it or my emeral crabs. No clue, have some algae for him and water is perfect and no changes

Another Maker's fan, eh? There are very few things I enjoy more than a Maker's Old Fashioned. In fact, I might pour one tonight in memory of Frank's cousin.

Please do.... Had a bottle underneath the bar at my wedding. End of the night both the bottle and I were down there. Or maybe just the empty bottle.. Don't remember

He was eating and had things to eat. It's a hair scratcher, probably not going to go down that road again. Stick with my snails and blue legs. For the most part both emeralds are behaving well and they love bubble coral.

If you do decide to go that route, please let me know. I'm not burning through that much calcium and have decided the DOS is likely my next purchase.
I am going to get the Calcium Reactor for my tank. Will be about a week or so before I get it up and running before I can ship the DOS though.

Was watching the tang eat nori yesterday. He ripped a big hunk off and it blew away. The female peppermint caught it behind the rocks and dragged it into her lair..haven't seen her since..
We lost 2 cardinals early on that way to the skunk shrimp. They were slow, the shrimp was fast....survival of the fittest...

Wow. Good luck. I hope this solves the calcium depletion issue.

Offer stands to anyone who uses 2 part. Two unopened premeasured BRS kits. Taking up room...

I am a believer of survival of the fittest.. Just dont want to send anyone to their death. Trying to make sure my tank isn't North Korea. Going to pop in to the lfs today...switch out my daughters blue chromis and possibly pick up a Melanurus Wrasse. Maybe a coral or two that catches my eye

You still can't hold off two weeks?? It's gonna be crazy. I've seen some of the stuff Mark is getting for the show...and a lot of it is one off specials...

Never thought of comparing the two, but ok I get it 😀

Thanks for the compliments :)

I put in a MagDrive 7 return pump but I'm not sure it really makes a difference since I am still using the stock return tubes.

I see that some of you have upgraded return pumps like the Sicce Syncra 2.0 or a DC pump. Are you seeing better movement with those?

Also, is it the Jebao/Waveline DC 3000 that would fit? I tried the DC 6000 and that didn't fit so I returned it.

Thanks

I know a couple of us are using the sicca silent 2.0. There is definitely an improvement in circulation, though to see it, I'd have to shut down the mp's. They provide more movement than the main for sure. Someday I'll shoot a video of the difference it makes.
Not that the stock pump was bad, just for a little better overall circulation. It never hurts.
I thought about dc pumps but it's just another line of code for the apex I don't want to write.

We like the 2.0... We were running the eheim +2000, but switched due to the PITA of cleaning. I am very pleased with the 2.0

I am waiting. The only thing I picked up today was a purple/green tip torch. I will wait it for the show to donate my money.

Never tried the 2.0 pump but I'm using the Jebao DC3000. I like it because speed is adjustable and I can control it via apex.

did you decide which day? I'm thinking Sunday...best deals so vendors don't have to cart stuff home..like a 100g tank!

So are any others from here attending? Maybe plan a meet?

Saturday for me. My daughter has swim lessons on Sunday and do not like missing those. I like to get in early and see what the vendors have. Good call on the 100 gallon tank idea.
