Oxymonacanthus longirostris - a week in review.

I'm sorry this picture is so blurry but you can get an idea of the jammy situation.

If you haven't tried feeding your OSFF Roggers Reef Food Complete Blend Plus, try it! I just tried it for the first time today and my osff went nuts for it. He even changed colors while eating it and afterward started doing his darting dance where he erects his fins and dives downward.

No problem, DFS has it as well as Premium Aquatics. This is a pretty awesome frozen food. You can just cut off a chunk and then rub it between your fingers in the tank. Small pieces will come off of it but it won't completely fall apart and make a mess everywhere. You can smell it even when its frozen solid.

This is definitely the coolest fish ever BTW. So much personality, he even changes colors and dances at dinner time!

Would an iPhone pic suffice? I think my ego would have a problem with it, though.

I just took a "proof" picture of the blackfoot lion with the iPhone. It's not something I'd want to post, but if I'm ever called upon to prove I still have him...... there it is.

Santa may bring me 27" all-in-one iMac for Christmas.....

Awesome. Never heard of it. I'll try to find some. Thanks for the tip, mighty Uhuru.

Did I miss the change in title someplace? :lol2:

Adding the Red saddled anthias has turned out to be a good idea. *whew*

Funny how the flavoguttatus is the "sissy" in that tank, considering how it picked the other two flav's off in the SH tank.

the towel thing works as long as its not white filefish hate when any 1 approahes the tank with a white sweater shirt or blanket etc

I don't care that it's my pic... all's fair in love and public forums.

But... but..... we're the same......

We frequently look at avatars to see who we're talking to instead of the name.

My OSFF are FREAKS. I just bought a bunch of new food and they don't like any of it. I bought both the different types of Roggers food and the Nutramar. They totally ignore it. They don't like anything smaller than 0.5mm. The anthias sang a few hallelujahs, though.

Interesting. It seems each fish is rather different with regard to food preferences. Mine still won't touch pellets unless they're soaked and smooshed. And they won't eat mysis of any size. Or brine. For mine, it's the roe and Prime Reef Flakes they really go bonkers for. I haven't tried the Rogger's yet.

I'm going to keep offering it, as we all know they can change their minds with persistance. There's something in the Rod's food and the Roggers that they don't really like. You know those videos of kids eating lemon, they kind of act like that. The nutramar and cyclop size foods they just ignore completely. Thankfully they like shaved fish flesh so I can give them whatever I'm feeding the preds.... except squid.... they don't like shaved squid!

It's so nice to see them fat.... it's a sense of accomplishment.

I think it's cool to see fish that were literally starving and had to "re-learn" to eat come running to be fed and eat like they have been doing it all their lives...
