ozone question

I purchased the reef octopus ozone reactor a few months ago for my 300 gallon reef and have about 500 gph running through the reactor. I have the controller set to turn off at 350mv. When the unit turns off it keeps rising to about430mv. I recalibrate the probe, put it back in the water and it drops below 300mv. It turns the ozotech back on until the reading gets back to 350mv and it starts all over again. My water is not as clear as it should be using the ozone. Can anyone give me some ideas on what may be wrong?

after recalib or cleaning it takes time for probe to stabalize its normal for it to drop then rebuild if probe is new let it be try using 400mv as setting

Is this probe located on the effluent of your reactor, or on the return from your tank? And it is normal for ORP to continue to increase when the O3 is cut off due to the water in your reactor and dependent on where the probe is located.

You should also have a normal cleanins schedule for your probe. Using a soft brush at least once a week, and turn your O3 off for a couple of hours after cleaning your probe so that it can get a more accurate reading as it burns in..

Thank you both for your help! My probe isn't near the reactor, I thought it would be better to keep it away from it to get a better reading. After recalibrating the probe it went to 430mv and stays there so the ozotech never turns on. The controller is new and the probe is new.
