What kind of type of paint do you use to paint the tanks background

I've used Rustoleum flat black spray paint. Works perfectly.

I used Krylon Fusion to paint the back of my tank.

I used Krylon Fusion blue its a spray as well, worked good.

How many coats does it take?

i used an acrylic paint that you buy from a hobby store. it works well. it will come off if you scratch it which is nice if you ever want to change it.

I had TAP plastics cut a 1/8" black acrylic sheet, and put it on the back of the tank with industrial strength velcro (from home depot). Easy to change if you'd like, and you can still use a magnet cleaner through the tank if you want to keep the rear glass clean.

I painted mine with the hobby paint that you can buy at michaels or jo ann fabrics, works very well for a nice dark black

What type of gloss would you guys suggest any pics....like Flat, semi gloss etc.....
