Pair Clowns & CC Starfish - I need to find them a new home (Fargo)

Hi All,

I need to find a new good home for a pair of Occelaris clownfish and a CC Starfish. I recently purchased them and the rest of a friends inhabitants when he was going to tear down his tank. Unfortunately these will not get along with my clowns so I need to find them a new good home.

The CC Starfish is the about 6 to 8 inches long. I know it is not reef safe so I cannot put it in my tank. I would also like this to go to a good home as well.

Please PM me or reply to this thread if you are interested. I would prefer local pickup in Fargo but I am willing to set up a place to meet if you live farther away. I can also provide pics if you want, just PM me.

Mods please do not delete since this is not a selling post but an adoption post. I do not want anything for them other than the reassurance that they will go to a good home. I told the previous owner I would make sure they go to a good home.

Thanks!
Curtis

you should PM reefaquariumnut. He lives in Osgood and is setting up a monster of a tank...I think his frag tanks may be ready for stuff....so he may take them off your hands

Thanks for the tip, I'll PM him and see if he is able to take them!

Frasg tanks may not be a good spot for the CC starfish though but I'll ask him.

I'll update the thread once I hear back from him.

Would you mind if the CC starfish was in a tank with it's natural predator (Harlequin Shrimp)?? Otherwise, I can provide a good home for the CC starfish. I just obtained a 75g predator tank...if he won't be affected by the existing clowns and lionfish that came with it.

Well I would prefer if it was not in with a natural predator. I told the previous owners I'd find it a good home and I don't think that's what they were thinking...:). is the 75G the one where the harlequin is at? If not, I guess that could work. I would just not want it to become food down the road...

The 75g is not the tank with the shrimp. I don't own the shrimp yet, but was thinking of doing a nano on my desk at work. No worries.

I may hold off on the starfish for now, I just saw that you want pick up... It is a 2 hour drive from here and I won't be in Fargo anytime soon. I do have friends that go there regulary. Anyway, if you cannot find a home, let me know and I can arrange for them to be picked up and I can provide a "predator free" home for all.

Hi Al,

Just an update. The clownfish are happy in their new home. Noone in Fargo has taken interest in the CC Starfish so I think he might be going to the Underwater Adventure at the Mall of America. That won't be for another few weeks, so if anyone wants it before I take it to the cities let me know.

Thanks!
Curtis

Package him up and send him my way. I promise he will go into a tank that has softies, lots of liverock and only two fish. I won't feed him to anything or anyone. Send him via SpeeDee Delivery and he will get here within one day. Are you familiar with them?? I have been using them exclusivbely when sending things in the nearby region. Let me know if you are interested in doing this. I can trade you some corals if you want?!?

Mr James,

I am planning on heading to TRF on the 26th to winterize my boat. I can bring him to you if you want me to to avoid shipping costs. A trade sounds good too if you want as I only have a couple corals...:).

PM me with some contact information and we'll work something out.

Thanks!
Curtis
