pair of blk clowns female enters anemone and male doesnt

i have a pair of blk percs and carpet the femal tends to host it and the male just swims around and they are in a my tank but in a clear case with a carpet the female sleeps in it but the male hovers over it will the male ever host being that he sees the female.because he tends no to care for the carpet.
any ideas and the female is cool with him like i said there paired.

If the nem is small it might be that he doesn't want any drama from the female. With a larger nem the pairs tend to share more because there's more space. Females are notorious for claiming space as their own in ways that make males feel uneasy. Have you noticed any floral prints or pink curtains in or near the anemone?

but the anemone is huge its a carpet(haddioni)at frist the female was pushing him away but she clam down but he still doesnt go in he stays right around it

She has probably established with the male that the anemone is her personal territory. If you put your arm in the tank and chase him, where does he hide? You may find that he hosts the nem. If not you might have a case where he can't. Haddonis have a very powerful sting and if memory serves they are not a natural host for your clowns. She may have been able to adapt. I have heard of cases where clowns were eaten by haddonis on introduction.

I would not consider that anemone to be large enough to host both of those clowns.

You probably already know this but your anemone is extremely bleached and unhealthy. It's mouth should be tight. Also it should be permitted to burrow in the sand not be kept in a box as it is. If you are able to get it to recover it may expand to a size large enough to host both of those clowns. For now your focus should be on correcting the anemone's condition.

First you have Black & White Ocellaris Clownfish not Percula. As mentioned about that nem looks way stressed. Youd have better luck with a LTA or BTA.

I have to agree with the others about the condition of the Haddoni. Actually, you are lucky that it is in the state that it is --- putting clowns in a confined space with a Haddoni is a poor way to get them to be hosted. I have a feeling that if that Haddoni was fully healthy you would be minus at least one clown, from being eaten by the Haddoni.

Is there another reason you have the anemone in that container? Haddonis are sand dwelling anemones and won't be happy in that space.

Some ocellaris clown's just don't like anemones. Not as a sure thing as true percs . These guy's are right that you could have lost a couple clowns if that thing was healthy.
