So Ive had this pair for 2 yrs , they have bonded and established male and female for aa year ... just recently I have noticed the female getting aggressive towards the male , I am wondering what is happening here ?

I have watched the female show her dominance to the male and him do his submissive shake and all has been well between them for the past year and a bit. I picked them both up as juvs around at the same time . she is so much biiger then him shes fat and hes this little tiny guy , she host my green stars that arent very big and is always picking at the rock underneath , could she be wanting to lay eggs but the male isnt smart enough to do his part and she is gettign angry ? Experienced clown breeder opinoins on this would be awsome and anyone else for that matter has anyone expereinced this ? http://youtu.be/upCYf80oJ1c

I'd say the magic is gone in that relationship. It happens. We're not sure why it happens though. One theory is that the male begins to turn female.

After many years together, my maroons did the same thing. Only my female is easily twice the size of the male. I found the male with all his fins destroyed, hiding in a corner, and breathing hard. I separated them for several weeks while the male healed. I then placed them back together, and everything seemed fine for a couple of days. Then I found him beat up again and half dead. He did survive, but I now have them in separate tanks. I just have to face the fact that the love affair is over, and these two fish can never be put back together.

Well they dont seem to be tearing strips off each other and there is no tears in the fins on either fish .. they are not fighting 24/7 still sleep in the same spot at night , the male doesnt hide anywhere away from the female . The video shows what they do it happens maybe 2 times a day for a few minutes and thats it ...

Today seemed to be a better day no chasing in circles and such but there is still nipping but nothing major . Im startin to notice the female acting a bit different also fluttering her fins over rocks but not waving with her tail so to speak and she will swim really fast around the rock and back to her spot . I will update with another video of tomarrows behaviour and show the new behaviour of the female . They are also still sleeping right beisde each other they couldnt get any closer .

To me it looks like they are pretty similar in size, and it looks like he is trying to fight her for dominance, It will either end in her winning dominance or him dying trying to fight her for dominance,

theres noway there the same size and hes not going to die , thanks tho .... I wouldnt let it get to that point and you must have not read the last post , the one where I said they still bed together every night , he doesnt run hide in the corner all day . But thanks again.
