I was wondering if anyone thought it would be ok to use a PAR38 light that they sell at lowes to keep a bubble tip nem?It is 3k and would just be going on a breeding setup. It was labled as "daylight".I'm buy no means am worried about algae growth. Thanks, Daniel
PAR38 doesn't tell us anything about the light generated. It just tells us what type of bulb it is. 3K is the color temperature(?) Do you have any other info, like wattage and manufacturer?
Additionally, daylight is usually qualified as anything from 6500K to 10,000K depending on who makes the bulb, so 3000K is not normally considered "daylight" color temp. That's more streetlight or warehouse light color temp. Just FYI.
That is what it said on the box. That is what caught my attention when I was walking through the isle.Next time I'm at lowes i'll try to snag a pic if you want.
