Pattern for large AGA and Oceanic tank stands

I think most aga tank stands have an open top where the sides support most of the weight. Is oceanic the same way or is it usually a slab of wood and then a cutout for the overflows?

Acrylic tanks have a full support platform and glass has support around the edges. It's designed that way for weight disbursement according to tank needs.

So I don't have to buy an AGA tank to go on an AGA stand? I can get another tank like oceanic or even a starphire custom tank?

Provided the length/width support the tank edge all the way around you'll be good to go.
