Peaceful Blue Fish

Wife has asked for a blue fish like the color of Blue Tang (Dori) or electric blue.

I have a pretty peaceful tank, what fish could I put in there?

240 Gallon tank size

If you've got a 240, why not just get a hippo tang? They're pretty peaceful.

I have a red head solon fairy wrasse. He's mostly blue and mine is very peaceful. I really like this fish.

A hippo tang will be very happy in a tank as large as yours.

What about a potters angel?
Or go a bit lighter blue:
Zebra striped dart fish
Hanae dart fish

there are some dottybacks with blue in them, but imo no dottyback is peaceful.

Go with a Cherub Angel. Blue Assessors are cool too but you have a 50/50 chance of ever seeing it.

I'd get a hippo, they are very friendly fish and have great color

the hippo would be pretty peaceful in a tank that size. Tangs with enough room are not a problem for aggression, with a few exceptions like two tangs too close in type.

+1 even if you get another blue fish. We just got one a few weeks and it has become our favorite. I am surprised how it is out fairly often now and watching it swim upside down and sideways never gets old.

It may not be the best choice being it is small and shy...but I would not rule it off the list!

I loved my Blue Hippo, and while he was peaceful to other fish, he was such an aggressive eater, he kept stealing food from my ritteri anemone until it died. He would get up speed and charge through the tentacles.

+1 on a small group of asure damsels. Mellowest damsel by far! They have an electric blue color that is not easily rivaled. In a 240, if there's a fair amount of LR, I'd go with 5.

blue hamlet unless your tank background is blue ...

blue tank background + blue hamlet = washed out looking white hamlet, thats how i got mine for free from the lfs because all their tanks are painted blue and the fish looked "colorless" and they couldnt sell it in over six months

Eventually the hippo would make your gigantic tank look small

Not quite as striking as some of the other suggestions but a mated pair of Neon Gobies make for an interesting display. These are tank raised sometimes which is also nice. They can breed in a tank and sometimes demonstrate cleaning behavior. They are fairly cute little guys too and very peaceful.
