Peninsular 280 bar build

Well i got the 120g home and under the tank so i could measure for the 2 bulkheads. It looks like everything should fit, it will be a tight fit but should have just enough room to work. Hopefully tomorrow I can get it over to the glass cutter to get the bulkheads drilled.

Ok well i have almost everything up and running. I still need to get my ato from the other tank so i can hook up the kalk reactor. I also need my controller off of the other tank so i can hook up my calcium reactor.

I ordered a new Apex controller but it won't be here for another month. So I am not sure what i am doing controller wise in the mean time.

I have moved over some softies about a week ago and last night the Duncan and hammer were switched, will give them a few days to make sure they are doing well before any additional moves. The clown pair got moved over last night as well.

As soon as i get the camera charged i will get pics up, the aquascaping looks totally different b/c all the extra live rock got moved to the sump.

Thanks for looking sorry no pics hopefully by tonight.

Ok finally some pictures I would say overall construction is about 85% complete. I still have to finish the bar top along with all the wiring, doors, kalk reactor and calcium reactor.

Here are some more pictures of the almost finished product. I will start with pics before all the extra liverock was moved to the sump and then after. I still have to add all of my decorative live from from my 34g to the tops of all the rock that is in there now.

As far as fish i was planning on starting with a yellow tang, blue throat trigger and 5 lyretail anthias. I already have my 2 clowns and 2 chromis in the tank. All of the zoos and mushrooms are doing good and the hammer and duncan which were added a few night ago seem to be adjusting well.

Thanks. Yea it was a pretty big upgrade considering a 35g is the largest tank i owned before this.

Well I am supposed to be getting some fish in this morning so probably do some updated shots tomorrow after they get all acclimated.

Thanks guys, it will probably be a couple days before I get the fish pics up they are all still hiding quite a bit but they have only been in there for about 24hrs.

On a side note i did get the rest of the bar top cut so there is no white edge all the way around, but i still need to mortar the tile down and get the trim on.

I also took my ato off the solana and installed it on the Geo Kalk reactor.

I am currently running parts of both tanks off of the same controller. I figured since the solana has been pretty self sufficient i moved the temp and ph probes to the new tank so i can start monitoring it before placing the rest of the corals in the tank.

The tank is running a little hotter than I thought it would about 83 degrees with just the sunrise sunset bulbs running. So i have turned on the room fan and 2 corallife fans on the sump along with turning the air down from 80 to 78 in the house.

Thanks,

I promise to have some more pictures up this evening. I may get the bar top mortared down and i have moved 2/3 of more coral into the new tank.

All the fish seem to be doing well they were all out this morning for their breakfast. I am gonna have to figure out something else with the filter sock and feeding as alot is accumulating in there but i want to overfeed until everyone gets nice and fat.

Ok here are the pictures. I was able to get the granite mortared down this afternoon and I transferred the rest of the coral to the new tank since everything that was in there seemed to get doing good.

Pictures will be random shots of the whole tank and it's inhabitants.

Just let me know if you have any questions, most of the pictures were taken with all the lights running.

FTS to come first
