Percula Disease?

Hey guys,
I was at my local fish store today and he gave me 2 true perculas since they weren't looking too hot. He said that they had some sort of disease that clownfish usually get. Clownfish Disease? I don't remember. He said that i could try to save them. So what do i do? I have them in quarantine tank now. I did a Freshwater dip for like 5-10 mins. What's my next step? Thanks in advance!

Ugh! They gave you clownfish with brook? Do they look like they have some sort of slimy film on them? Brook kills very quickly, and as far as I know of, the only way to treat it is using a formalin dip.

Good luck.

maybe on one of them, but it's just like a strand the other one not so much. But they look really weak. The way the swim it looks sluggish.

Can you get it from the fish store that you got the fish from? I know you can order it from DF&S, but if it is brook, you need pretty immediate treatment.

Most of my LFS doesn't carry it. They said they have like other medicines that has formalin in it, but not a medicine of just formalin. I'll try to take a picture of the clowns later to share. So you guys can determine if it is brooklynella or not. They seem a little better today as in they are swimming a little stronger and not as sluggish. What other suggestions would you tell me? Should i just do another FW dip?

A medicine that is a mix of formalin with something else should work as well, assuming it is brook.

It's hard to know what you should do without knowing exactly what they have. Can you describe the symptoms? Are they eating? Are they breathing rapidly? Do they have a fine gold colored dust over them or a slimy coat? Do they have signs of ich or flukes?

Is it ok to Formalin dip if they don't have Brooklynella? Or will the die? ok well both of them aren't eating, but the more onyx looking one with more black is at least pecking at the food but spits it out. Here's a video of them after a 10 minute freshwater dip just a little bit ago:

It is hard for me to tell. They will be very beautiful fish if you can save them.
I would treat them with copper and formalin dipped. One of them seem to have ich (lighter color one). Good luck
