Permatex dielectric grease

I use the Trident from my dive shop... Grease the grooves for splash shields on my lights.. That way salt creep / build up won't make them stick

The purpose I had in mind for it was , Bulkhead Gasket and Union O- Rings.

Don't need to lube those, as there is no movement of parts against either bulkhead gaskets or union o-rings...if they are being installed properly. The only reason for lubing gaskets and o-rings is to prevent them from damage, or shifting out of position, when they are moving against things, such in cansiter filters being screwed on.

I agree that those plumbing fixtures should be okay without silicone, IME, but a bit of a food grade product should be okay.
