Petco Gigantea

He was brown 10 months ago. Now he is clearly green but not the bright green. Still he is really beautiful. I am happy that I was able to save and keep him

Here are three more pictures of my Petco Gigantea. This is one of the two I keep. He is higher and easier to take picture than the other one. The other one is greener than this one.

Very nice! The colors are very cool.

I am up to my old trick again. I got 3 Gigantea from Petco again today. They look like the best one I got from there yet. If I can get them to live, I think they will be very nice anemones.

How long do you leave your power head off when you first put the nem in the tank. I also picked up a gig from petco today

:lolspin: Time for A.A.

I think the rehab process is as much fun as the hunt for them. Those look to me like more of those multicolored ones.

I have a VorTech MP-10 on my HT so I just turn it down until the anemone attach, then back up to about 65% random reef mode.
I got them direct from the shipping bag, before they go into the tank at Petco. All three of mine look stressed. One have discharge in the bag and I got 50% off for that one.
He float around for several hours before attache to the bottom of the HT. Because of him, I treated all three with Septra DS today. As the light turn out, they look a little better

Awesome find Minh :)

This one reminds me of my most recent gig I added

Wow, nice find once again. The colors of these Petco gigs look a lot nicer than the typical tan gigs. Does one have an orange mouth? First time I've seen that.

Mine also looked stressed but no deflation. It did expel some gunk though. I got some sperta from my wife and i also started treatment after the lights went out.

i put the live rock in instead of a mug cause it seamed like the nem would just slide of the mug. It attached to the rock as soon as it touched it. It is very sticky.

D-Nak,
I was going to send you a PM regarding that lipstick mouth.

So that's not a good nem for my clowns.

helianthus is an atlantic species of anemone, and will eat your clowns or any other fish it comes into contact with. You can verify it is helianthus if it has orange spots on its column.

Great find on the gigs, I live in socal and I cant find any gigs around in my usual LFS, best of luck with them, they look to be in good shape.

This AM all moved to the corner of the HT. All three are firmly attached. I have the light on Radion 100% but moved the light to the opposite end of the aquarium (20 gal high) to decrease the amout of light they get a little.
The foot of all three are firmly attached, with was not the case yesterday for the sickest one. Picture this AM as the light come on.
