......
This is a wrong definition with regard to a business franchise. Please look it up if you want to discuss this further. You do not have the same definition as the rest of us so we are not talking about the same thing.

Regarding Petco stores, I don't know which Petco is corporate and which one is franchise owned, or even if they franchise (some or all) their stores. However, I do know that not all Petco sell the same thing. Some have marine and fresh water, while other only have fresh water. Even the one with marine, some have extensive fish and invertebrates while others just fish. Obviously the management of the particular store can see what the market of a certain area is like and adjust what they sell accordingly.
I do know that some store have knowledgeable marine staff while others should not have a marine department at all. Even at the same store, when the head of the marine department quit, there is definitely change in the quality of the livestock and how well they are keep.

I don't rescues fish and animal from Petco or LFS. If the animal is not doing well there and I know what is wrong, and if I am on good term with the owner, I often point this out to them, but never push it. It is their store and their livelihood. If I think I can do better, I bargain with them to reduce price or get them for free. When I try to developed the antibiotic protocol, I got several anemones from the LFS, treated them and return them back to the store once they are cured. I need sick specimen at the time.
I have had sick corals and other animal given to me from Petco and other LFS before because I often help them. They know that I know what I am talking about. I know that they (most of them) know a lot more about a lot of the animals they sell than I.

Its great how I completely moved on and was more concerned about the nem.. yet you are all still over here looking for a flame war. Calling a person annoying out of nowhere sounds like more of a troll than me having a differing opinion pertaining to the thread.

If you post a picture of your pretty face, only then will I ever believe you are indeed a girl and not some troll. :-)

I'm not sure if you're a him/her but you are very annoying.

don't feed the troll, dude. leave it alone

Checked the had and its mouth got full but gaped. Lots of white and some gray strings are blown off. Seems like it's on the way back

Contiuing to try to insult me "behind my back" would also be considered "feeding the troll" as all that is doing is ****ing me off.

Im sure this might have already been said and I have no knowledge in treating nems but if/when would you try feeding it?

(Lets just put the past behind us and not be jerks.. and be adults and have a nem discussion)

Day 1

its mouth is improving. threw out tons off strings/chunks of brown/purple things. When i siphoned em out, i accidentally sucked it into the pipe UGGGGHHHHHH

but you can see the mouth started to close. sorry for the bad iPhone picture and the dt lighting is off

i reaquascaped my tank in case it recovers to full. UUGGHHHHHH both my ritteri and gbta are ****ed by the detritus. I do REALLY NOT wanna treat 3 anemones at one time

What brand/type of siphon do you use? If you have the Python water changer it has a little knobby thing that you can use to adjust the flow.

Also saw a Marina siphon at work with a clip that adjusts the flow which will also lessen suction, less likely to accidentally suck anything up.

Noob question: how does detritus mess up nems?

Arrr, I hate when they get sucked into the siphone hose.

The stability of the water changes and things react. Especially Magnifica and Gigantea. Super sensitive.

That's great news. Post some pics when you get home if you can. I hope it keeps getting better for you. Good luck
