the petco on expressway and rockwell seems to have a knowledgable guy in the fish department....they have sebae anemone for about $13....he can also special order stuff too...just passing on some savings for the club.

I talked to him too a few weeks ago. He did seem to know his stuff. I'm just hesitant to buy any fish from there. I have heard too many problems.

you just need to be careful what you buy and really make sure to quarantine..because they have sick fish...

Tuan, you are absolutely correct. I can not stress enough the need to quarantine. Its an absolute requirement....from every source you obtain animals from.

In FW I break all the rules because I know my way around them. If I even think about breaking one in SW I cringe, I guess as I gain more experience I will start breaking those too. I did learn one though, some Aptasia can give you a sting on the thinnest parts of your skin. So be careful when messing with unknown liverock.

Yup. That goes for any anemone, and even corals. Bristleworms are a real nasty character as well.

FWIW, I've purchased the following from Petco in the past 6 months or so, 1 pair Ocellaris Clownfish, 1 neon Goby, and 1 Six line Wrasse and all have done fabulous, cept the goby, he got ate sometime ago. They do get really good prices like that sabea for so cheap. I saw a naso tang for sale from them for $29 a few days ago. From what I hear, the store in Edmond has a much better SW section, but I've always gone to the Expressway store myself. I only wish their vendor sold Regal Tangs, but they told me they never get those.

The Petco that just opened up in Stillwater was selling a Stars and Stripes Puffer as a Dog Face Puffer with a price tag of ~$23.99.

i have bought several fish from them im the past. My favs include a sixline wrasse, and yellow coris wrasse and assorted gobies. They all get quarintined before going to the main tank. And have all done well.

all for under 15 bucks each, thats a steal in this town

I like the fact that almost everything sw I see there is a juvi or even just a baby, I prefer raising my fish from little bitty fish, it's funner. Expressway store at a tank full of baby Red Tooth Triggers the other day, it was so cool looking.
