thanks guys

here's one I haven't shown for a while, the meteor shower. It has completly encrusted the plug and rock it was mounted to and is now starting to encrust on the live rock. I love the color and looks of this coral and can't wait for it to completely encrust the live rock it is on.

Love the meteor Shower.
Got me one 2 weeks ago on a visit to the states still under medium light and medium flow in my tank. I notice yours is rather under low flow?
can you please advise on light and flow need for this one and how fast is it growing?

Originally I had it too high in the tank and the base blue color faded to white, so I moved it to mid tank. It is also somewhat shaded, it gets some direct light from my blue LED's but shaded from the VHO's. Flow in the area is moderate to low, enough to keep detritus from accumulation on it.

Pete, how do you like the 2 little fishies kalk stirrer? If I remember correctly you are using one?

The TLF kalc stirrer works great.
It has been working flawlessly except when the little sprinkler head got stuck but it was just a matter of cleaning it off as there was some kalc build up on it. I suspect a cleaning every couple months would be more then enough and it's very easy to take out, so no big deal.

What is getting frustrating is my skimmer keeps slowing down and we have to clean the air tube constantly. I suspect I need to pull the entire thing appart to see if there is something inside the pump or a build up of sometiing in the pump piping. That all said I am seriously considering going with a cone skimmer with a internal swab cleaner. From what I'm reading it cuts way back on the daily / weekly maintenance of a skimmer.

Right now I'm just about convinced I'm going to get the Avast Marine DIY skimmer/swabby/overflow kit. I just want to do a bit more research on the pump as I may want to go with a Tunze rather then the Sicce pump they provide

I pulled the skimmer and took it apart to clean it.
I only cleaned the tubes and air ways. I found a lump of salt build up in the air line right as it hooks onto the venturi on the pump suction. In pulling rhe skimmer and putting it back in the sump I stirred up all kinds of junk and the tank looks like a dust storm hit it. Thankfuly there are no real issues other then I had to move some rocks around and I guess I broke off a section of my blue sponge as I saw small pieces of it getting blown all over the main display. Oh well, I wanted to move some of that blue sponge to the display anyway
