I'll see if I can find the link to the notes and pictures I took last time I treated using Interceptor but from what I recall, 90% of the "ticks" aka redbugs, where gone at 4 hours and they continued to die off after that. At the 12 hour mark I still saw a few, although at that time I could not be sure if they were dead or alive. I started to run my skimmer and carbon at the 14 hour mark, and did a 15% water change the next day. I got a respawn of redbugs 5 days later and repeated the process but I let it go longer somewhere between 16 and 20 hours. At the time, I considered the double treatment a success, but I ca see why a 3rd one would provide a more insurance just in case you treat between spawns. I don't know that any one knows the exact life cycle of these creatures. And what was once thought to be just an acropora pest has since been proven wrong.
I started to run carbon and started my skimmer at the 15.5 hour mark.

I took a couple pictures today to see how PE would compare to others pre red bug treatment. I'm not picking up big difference on PE, but I'm liking the growth and colors on some of these
the GH aqua delight has really started to take off in the past week or so

it only seems like only a couple weeks ago that the blob had only two maybe three polyps on each branch.

these new light purple branches just showed up a couple weeks on my main chips colony
as compared to this picture of both the blob and chips Nov 1
random green birds nest picture
the GH aqua delight has really started to take off in the past week or so

that gives me another idea - it would be so cool to have a viewing trough with a mirror over it set up for the next tank tour - how sweet would that be

Marc's unknown (I think I'll call it a stumpy tenuis), not a lot of growth in the last couple weeks, but still a very nice looking coral

the growth on Marc crayola appeared to slow down a little bit but then I noticed that the mount was loose. It was shaking in the wake of my closed loop system so I repositioned it so it is now a lot more stable.
the microcladus is also coming around nicely
three weeks ago on Nov 17th
I didn't get that great a picture of the Pink Jade as the photobox was shading the light

So i was going to do a water cahnge and noticed what looked like sand in my brute change out container. I pulled the heater and found this
At first when I pulled the heater it looked to be working normally as the light was on. But then I saw the broken glass and carefully unplugged it. I was surprised to see the heater element did not look like it was copper, maybe its a chrome alloy but regardless I'll dump this water, rinse the brute and start over tomorrow.
