Petland's New Display

Yeah Andy got a fancy new camera...we should get some pics soon!

About two weeks ago there was a heater controller malfunction and the whole tank got up to about 93-95 degrees for an undetermined length of time. We lost a flame angel, a cleaner shrimp, and those green caps and the slimer got pretty bleached. All in all it wasn't as catastrophic as it could have been...but it still SUCKS to stick your hand in your tank and have it feel like bath water.

I imagine it can only be likened to feeling your child's forehead and feeling a fever of tremendous proportions. hehe

As promised... a pictoral update

As promised... a pictoral update

Hey everybody, Andy here, I just gotta Nikon D90. Money can buy you love!

So here's some updated pix I snapped one morning at work. As Adam (slunkbanwala or however you spell it) mentioned we had an overheating event lately and we cooked some monti.

sounds like a controller w/internet should be in your future! Its a nice insurance policy to have.

This guy just doesn't realize what a cheap bastard the owner really is! I almost fell off my chair laughing at this comment, and while, the tank is my baby too, I have my own aquarium (with multicontroller and monitor) and hobbies to invest in.

Hey man! I told you anytime you want. Yeah I'm totally obsessed with this camera. I have a pretty sweet collection of new shots on flickr.com now.

As you well know, and for everybody else, I am working on a website called andysecomedia.com, which will host stock photos and fish profiles, political and eco blogs etc. maybe even some products? idk. It's still in it's infancy but I'll be reminding everybody to check back when I actually have some content up. I've been working with Dreamweaver and once I have some image content to work with I will be able to put together a real nice site.

Anyways, I took some more pictures tonight, this time using a macro lens to capture some of our coral colonies close up. Also took an updated picture of the filtration system and refugium below the tank....
