Tank has been up for a few years now , I had two other tanks that leaked and I had no where to put all live stock but in my big tank , and most of my big stuff didn't survive, I now have got most of the killers out and the sps and acros are coming around, my 75 and 110 was my sps tanks this was a fish only tank, so after all that, I moved all equipment to the big tank and only have one running now, life is easier, neat to watch the tank evolve , but it was sad to lose all that time and effort.

I'm not home, those all I have, on New phone, your tank looks nice, big fish, mostly softies and community fish? Don't see many hard corals, if so I wouldn't freak out over the high alk , if sps is your thing than yea, I pay closet attention to it then , but in a softy tank I would leave it alone a just feed a bunch more..not even worry about it, they don't care that much..you could run that tank fat, witch it kinda looks like, fat I mean high nutrients

Thanks ! It still drives me crazy that I can't get my ph up no matter what I do . I really do want to have a nice reef !! But it seems like I don't get the growth color etc like everyone else does . Drives me nuts !!

Well, I think the tank looks fine, can't tell what the big green thing up top is , two years old is just when a reef tank starts to begin to mature, this year your sponge and such should start to mature as well. That's big tank..whats the sump and filtration look like? Have you tried any sps ? If so what happened?

You said first probe did same thing , I see a par meter on apex with zero is it working? Maybe problem with apex and needs the firmware flashed is it hardwired?

If you want to add more pop, you can add some t5s, and some extra uv leds, might smooth out the color some.. I have been told on other post that I'm a bb fan boy, that might be true ..

Neither the salt mix nor water changes will affect the pH level, assuming the alkalinity level remains in the acceptable zone. If the pH measurement is correct, the issue is carbon dioxide. Running a refugium on a reverse-lit schedule might help with the pH during the night. Other than that, adding a large room-level carbon dioxide scrubber or air exchanger would be the most likely approaches that could help, although they are a fair amount of expense and trouble.

Yea we know that, the ph probe is not reading properly, and he has high alk from his kalk reactor, the discussion on salt mix was starting alk numbers if he's at 12 and his salt mix starts at 10 he's adding 2 points, he also don't have a bunch of hard corals so imo don't matter that much for those softies ,
